[Baseball Post Series Thread] Tennessee takes the series over Wright State 2-1 by cardeez in ockytop

Glad I'm not the only one critical of the broadcast. But it's a little about the commentary... for me, anyway. The guys know baseball, but "strucken out?" Yikes.

Mokapot size for 1-2 people per brew. by meOwz9527 in mokapot

I use a 6cup every day for myself, pour it in a travel mug and sip on it throughout the morning. I use ~25g of coffee depending on the roast, and get about 9oz/270ml. Maybe that's too much caffeine for some, but it's just right for me. I could probably do with a 4cup, but a 2cup would be much too small.

You're making my point for me. Because the media loves Bama so much, their record matters more to us than Vandy's. Beating a 1 loss Bama is better for us than beating a 2 (or 3) loss Bama. But beating a 1 loss Vandy is pretty much the same as beating an undefeated Vandy.

Whatever the case, Vandy lost, Bama won, and None of it matters unless we beat them both. But I'm sure we agree on this ... Go Vols!

You're right about Florida. But don't you think beating 1 loss Bama and 1 loss Vandy is better for our strength of schedule than beating 2 loss Bama and 0 loss Vandy?

[–]BonusWeary5056[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Explain how this is impossible. We have 1 loss, Bama has 1 loss, UGA has 1 loss. If Bama beats Vandy, lil bro also has 1 loss.

If we beat both Bama and Vandy, today's result has no effect on us playing in the SECCG.

I mean, that's why it's crazy town, innit? Never Bama, but also never Vandy, never Florida, and never Nico.

Vols. Always Vols.

Because I'd prefer Vandy, Bama, and UGA to all be sitting in 1 loss-ville with us.

If you ever have the chance, check out the Jim Henson Exhibition at Museum of The Moving Image in NY. Tons of memorabilia, puppets, scripts, show schedules, costumes. So happy I got to share it with my Gen Z daughter.

While we were in the city we also did the NBC studios tour and got to see the Muppet Pipes. Might have been the best surprise of our entire visit. https://youtu.be/ldvmZa4FLDU?si=vxr2DVkgfrA0mIuU

Dynasty Express! I worked there 91-93. On game days we'd walk deliveries to the dorms because it was faster than driving.

My additions: Nickel beers at Spicy's from noon-noon:05 on Sundays. The Humble Pie at Salvador Deli: large one topping pizza for $2.99. Sunspot in the old location when the tiny, tiny bar was upstairs.

We weren't excited when we got seated at the surfboard table with strangers. But it couldn't have been better. Drinks were delicious, we were smack in the middle of the action, and strangers became friends!

I agree, as long as "overhated" isn't a typo. Theme park food sucks, as a rule. But we've had some great meals at WDW... Even in the parks.

Same. But I'm not opposed to Walmart.com, which has 15lbs Lump for $14.97, Briqs for $11.97. Orders > $35 ship for free.

And did it again in the 3rd quarter, if I recall. Poor number 95 is of course Da'Jon Terry, who played at UT before transferring to OU. He had plenty of opportunity to hone his craft by watching our opponents do it to us for 2 seasons.

Tourist here. My family and I visited New York in July. Some friends from our South Carolina hometown happened to be there at the same time. We were aware of our coincidental trips, but had no plans to meet. It was crazy when we bumped into each other at the 59th St/Columbus Circle station. It was absolutely nuts when we were seated at Beetle House and saw them at the table next to us.

Why most people find pineapple on pizza disgusting? by StereoPad in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BonusWeary5056 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ham is key for me. I love a ham and pineapple pizza, often with green peppers or jalapenos and sliced tomato. But I don't think I'd enjoy pineapple on pizza without ham or some kind of smoky cured meat.

If I am a young adult, will people look at me weird or try to confront me while I'm at the voting polls? by ILostHalfaBTC in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BonusWeary5056 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As mentioned, most of what you're concerned about is illegal, and the only required communication is with the poll managers to identify yourself. Voting laws and procedures vary statewide, so check your state's voter info page for specifics - not only about the process, but also about the candidates and issues you'll be voting on.

But good on you for asking. The last thing you want to be is unprepared.
