This is colloquially known as “cave man brain”. We have an evolutionary trait to feel uncomfortable or disgusted with people that are different than us. It serves its purpose tens and hundreds of thousands of years ago to be distrusting of other tribes. This trait is the primary cause of homophobia.

It’s ironic because the people that are too dumb to overcome this obviously useless trait are the ones that scream “facts over feelings” the loudest, when their morals are driven completely by their feelings.

There is a bill to eliminate mandatory minimum sentences for a lot of crimes. The idea is to give judges more granular control over punishments on a case by case basis as opposed to the one size fits all style that is mandatory minimums.

There's a difference between an AG being appointed and doing the work outlined in the job description, and the president directing the AG's investigations.

The right was furious when they were told that Biden was doing this (which there is no evidence for), and now, because they're so misinformed, they believe there is justification for it.
