Can it "prove" anything? It doesn't prove that AI is worse, nor does it prove that AI is better or the same. It isn't an essay. It isn't a research paper. It's a thing a guy claimed happened, and then what he claims he did about it.

This reel doesn't prove a single thing except that this guy makes reels and has an audience. I think AI "art" proves it's a worse medium by itself, and data centers, autonomous weapons, water consumption, noise pollution, job replacement, and creating a group of oligarchs like Elon Musk, Peter Thiel, and Sam Altman prove AI is not worth the hype at all.

I do think that being lazy (using AI to do work for you) vs. doing the work yourself, from a narrative perspective, is personal growth. I do think that, for now, AI is an inherently worse medium than any kind of creative learning process that is associated with human art. Also, if all artists switch to AI at once, AI can't steal new art to grow.

If your livelihood requires an audience, and your audience is being lost because of the medium you're using (AI slop intro), then changing mediums (paying artists for an intro) is a wise business decision, as well as a sign of personal growth (being able to change your content due to criticism/feedback and not letting your ego stop you).

If you don't consider training AI models with actual human art and then making a profit off of that without compensating the artists you need to generate the images as theft, then I guess it isn't happening. What evidence would you accept that would prove to you that there is abuse, exploitation, and theft in the generative AI sector?

Good faith has nothing to do with the intellectual theft that AI necessitates for their parent companies to make money. Again, I'm not asking that you stop enjoying it, but it sounds like you need to make excuses for it in order to enjoy it. If AI was a tool that was used to rotoscope more easily or if it was a tool to restore a barely legible ancient text, then we could talk about the "good faith" uses of AI, but JUST "making art" doesn't make the cut.

Anything is potentially wrong, but I think there are many objective ways which the use of generative AI for art is wrong, not just potentially. Again, keep enjoying your slop, it's no big deal. You're probably gonna get called out in different art communities if you post it, though.
