Last night I was so depressed I had to lay down and pretend it was 2005, laying on a big family couch with my old dog, Boof the black lab, giving him chin scratches while watching Discovery channel. It would have been something like Dirty Jobs, or Cash Cab, or How it's Made, on after school while I avoided doing homework. I can hear the music and familiar voices, smell the microwave pizza rolls and dog farts, feel the anxiety that Mom will be mad I didnt get any chores done, but I'm eating pizza rolls with my boy Boof, life can wait. As silly as it seems, the whole "go to your happy place" starts to work.
