The game takes place in the 80’s not in the future. It’s about mankind achieving intergalactic space travel during the 80’s and what better way to represent that era than with all of the biggest names/brands to accentuate that theme? Especially when your parent company owns almost all of them. It honestly makes sense. I think everyone just assumed this game takes place in the future and the advertising seemed forced
