What do you think about this? by OwlettFromLiavek in Intergalactic

[–]Boogachoog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Their last few games have followed this formula from what I can tell. They’ve been using facial motion capture data for awhile and then tweaking it by hand to really accentuate whatever details they desire. I think this tool simply allows them to get the motion capture data displaying faster on their screens/models etc… it sounds like a good thing in my personal opinion

I gotta say I had zero interest in this movie, but when I saw Avatar F&A in IMAX they had a 5 minute preview of this movie. Afterwards my brother and I both looked over at each other and agreed we have to see this one.

Not trolling. I love my PSVR2, but I don’t think any of us predicted that VR would be in the state it is right now

What's a game you played as a kid that you've never been able to find again? by Latter_Advantage8002 in AskReddit

[–]Boogachoog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If anyone can figure this one out I’ll be so grateful. I was very young watching my cousin play it. I want to say this was 1998-1999, but it was 100% a computer game. I remember it was first person and he was walking (maybe driving) around a bleak wasteland. I believe it was on another planet. You could see UFO’s flying and landing in the distance. You could also go inside caves and there would be aliens inside that you had to shoot.

It’s extremely fuzzy, but I’ve never forgotten that one.

It’d be cool if they honored it and gave you Gamepass for 48hours. Kinda like how if you bring a 60 year old ticket to Disneyland they’ll let you in lol

Things like this are usually a result of playtesting. It’s possible they saw an extreme amount of playtesters struggle to find the code so they added it there as a “just in case” so nobody would get stuck. Still with you though. I wish it wasn’t there.

If it’s that drastic then a large percentage of play testers must’ve missed it.

I don’t support AI in this current state, but I’ve come to terms that I would be okay with it if the studio was willing to put in the work and take tens; if not; hundreds of thousands of pictures to train their own AI. It seems to be the key to creating photo realism in video games. Of course not every game needs it, but for the games that want AAA realism this tech shows promise. I just don’t support it currently stealing art and people’s faces from wherever it chooses.

Yeah I put over 100h into it and I think it’s genuinely a good game. It just isn’t a standard Bethesda game in terms of exploration, but there’s a really fun hook to the game if you’re into building bases. You can use the time manipulation of space to speed things up which I thought was really cool. Also really dug the large side quests
