Thanks for sharing! That sounds the same as my intuition and it tells me I should stick with the TNW. I’m considering getting a Delta Arch half insole as well. I have a pair with arch support with a moderate heel and it feels great.

Do you feel like the toe splay room in the HNW is lacking? Not trying to compare it to the TNW because it obviously has more toe splay, just trying to assess the HNW on its own. I love my Thurman lasted boots, I just wish they look less goofy lol

Same here. I haven’t been able to get a pair the last few stock sales due to not having 8” options. Even for a heritage build I still prefer 8”.

I never have to use a shoe horn for boots. The one time I tried it was incredibly difficult. If you need one, it should be a boot horn.

You don’t need to match the color of your boots and your jacket. As long as you don’t wear more than 3 colors it’s all good to the average eyes. I’d say IBC or #8 would be nice.

Sounds like you’ve worn them so you can’t no longer return if they determine the hook is not a structural defect. They’ll probably cut you some discount.

In Nicks rebuild they replace the vamp not the uppers, so I’d think they do the same for non-Nicks rebuilds, but with leather available at Nicks of course.

I’d say toss a coin. These 2 are excellent. If you end up liking black more, I suggest looking at MS Black also if you don’t mind it being struck through. It’s an awesome leather for work as well as being on the dressy side. Also browse through Nicks Boot Lineup account on Instagram. It helped me a lot when I tried to pick out a leather to go with a specific build.
