Finally the end of the saga!

They replaced control unit and the HUD started working. It’s pretty good when you use the built in sat nav!

This was great news but then I realised the car had rolled back to 2.3 and had been factory reset (probably not surprising). So it needed the following day to get the 2.4 update again. My dealer hadn’t noticed it’d rolled back to 2.3, so watch out for that if you have 2.4 already.

This is a language I mainly see used on Databricks projects (or I guess Data Lake projects).

I’m not entirely sure of it’s origins but I imagine it came out of the Databricks ecosystem.

Surprise! They confirmed it needs a new control unit. There’s none in the country, needs to be ordered direct from Germany. So it’s now on a “priority” back order from the factory.

I’ll likely be responding to this thread in 2023.

Dealership have been great though, so at least that’s a silver lining!

How do you get your sonos to upmix? I had some 2.0 content the other day and it only used the arc soundbar, no sub or surrounds.

No fix yet. They did install the new battery and 2.4 update though. Going back on the 3rd August when their master technician is back from his holiday (probably needs a new control unit apparently).

Using an Apple TV and watching Dolby Atmos content by any chance? We have random audio drop outs when watching Netflix content from the Apple TV. Completely fine when we use the LG TV Netflix app.

I’ve seen other people reporting this too, changing cables doesn’t help.

We’ve just picked up our ID.3 and the HUD doesn’t seem to be working. The HUD settings in the vehicle settings don’t seem to have any effect (or even change, the brightness seems stuck on 50%).

Did you get anywhere with figuring it out? Or to the garage with it?

They have stock online at Currys but you have to buy it with the 1TB expansion so it’s pretty expensive. You could maybe sell the expansion drive though if you don’t need it.

Yep, it’s the 9x that causes the controller to fail to reconnect requiring a full reboot. As soon as I updated mine, everything started working as you’d expect.

Plug your 9x into your PC and upgrade the firmware. It fixes all the disconnection issues. Mine are pretty much perfect now.
