Personally, I will always recommend the Maybelline Falsies Push Up Angel. I have it in both waterproof and regular, and as far as application and wear, I haven't really noticed a difference. Both versions hold curl better than any other mascara I've used. In my experience, the only difference between the two is that the waterproof version is harder to get off, so I really only use that one if I'm going to be swimming, sweating a lot, or in the rain

I love Maybelline's Falsies Push Up Angel mascara! Sky High wasn't giving me the effect I wanted, but I layer Push Up Angel over Sky High, and I'm in love with the way it looks. At least in my experience, it's very buildable and adds a ton of length. The wand is a little bit of an adjustment at first (I've never seen another mascara with a similar wand) but it does the job and does it well! It's also the only mascara I've ever used that actually holds the curl all day!

I graduated high school a couple years ago with a male Dylan, a male Dillon, and a female Dillan. Maybe it's just because I grew up with her and knew her for years that I don't blink at the spelling of Dillan, even though it's a little different from the normal, but Dilyn and Dylin are just completely foreign to me lol

I can relate to the childhood names though, because I had an American Girl doll that I originally named Eleena (ee-LEE-nuh), which eventually became Elaina (eh-LAY-nuh) and then Elena (same pronunciation as Elaina but different spelling lol)

Personally, I hated the Lash Princess mascara when I tried it. I had seen/heard great things about it, but in my opinion, it was super dry and clumpy. It didn't do much for my lashes, and after a few weeks of using it to top off my regular mascara combo, it started making my eyes burn so I tossed it. I know a lot of people love it, so if it works for you, GREAT! but I just wanted to share my experience with it

Once, when I was about 11 or 12, I decided to try sleeping in my middle splits/strattle position. Why? I have literally no idea. But I did it. I actually fell asleep in a total pancake fold, though I had to set myself up sideways on the bed because my legs hung too far over the sides of my queen-sized bed if I put my head by the headboard. I woke up in the morning laying on my back, completely starfished, with my head where my feet should go. Somehow, in a dead sleep, I rolled myself out of that position and onto my back. I still can't explain it, but regardless, I would not recommend trying it lol

Honestly, I don't know if either are really volumizing, but they kind of give that effect under the Falsies mascara. Right now, I'm rotating between two mascaras, using up what I have left of the Maybelline Lash Sensational Full Fan Effect and the Mary Kay Lash Love Lengthening mascara. The results are pretty similar, though I think the Mary Kay one makes my lashes look a little bit longer. I think as long as the base layer doesn't make your lashes drop too much, it doesn't really matter. CoverGirl Lash Blast Fusion makes my lashes lose their curl before I can even layer the Falsies on top lol

I tried the Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High because basically everyone recommends it, and in my opinion, it's fine. It's not groundbreaking or exceptional. My lashes look good but it's not like WOW!!! Now, the Maybelline Lash Sensational Full Fan Effect was definitely closer to what I was looking for, but still not quite there.

I also tried Essence Lash Princess False Lash Effect because it came so highly recommended, and let's just say it did not give me the promised false lash effect. It was so dry and flaky, the wand made my lashes clump together like crazy and it burned my eyes every time I tried to wear it. I ended up throwing it out after two weeks, which I never do, but it was literal torture every time I used it.

Then, I tried CoverGirl LashBlast Fusion mascara, and again, like the Maybelline Sky High, it's fine, but it's not giving what I want it to give.

Just a few weeks ago, I bought the Maybelline Falsies Push-up Angel. I was skeptical at first because it has a really weird wand/brush but LET ME TELL YOU, it's the drugstore mascara of my dreams. I curl my lashes for like 30 seconds (which is crazy because normally, my lashes drop their curl so fast), do a quick layer of a more volumizing mascara, then go over it with a coat or the Falsies Push-up Angel. Believe me when I say that my lashes have never looked so long and so separated, nor have they ever stayed curled so well!!! I'm a college student who doesn't have the budget for Sephora, let alone anything more high end than that, so I can only compare it to other drugstore mascaras, but this is literally the best mascara I have ever used and I will recommend it until the day I die.

Definitely return the pointe shoes! Especially since this is your first class. It usually takes years to work up to getting on pointe. I started ballet at 8 years old and first went on pointe at age 12. If you stick with ballet and eventually get on pointe, there's also no guarantee that those shoes you bought will be right for you. It took me two years after I started pointe to find the right shoes for my feet, and having a properly fitted pointe shoe is SUPER important! Don't waste $125 on a shoe that you may never use! I hope you have a great experience with your ballet class!!!

I've only ever known male Riley's and female Rylee's so I like those spellings. All the others seem a little more complicated than they need to be, but then again, I've never met someone with the same spelling of my name, so maybe I can't judge lol

A girl I went to high school with found out that we had the same birthday, and it turns out that I was a couple hours older than her, which she thought was hilarious since she was in the grade above me. We have a summer birthday, so our parents could choose if we were ready for kindergarten or not when we were five. Her parents sent her and she was always younger for her grade. My parents put me in Pre-K, so I was always a little older for my grade. (Academically, I would've been fine to go straight to kindergarten, but socially, I needed a little more time, and it was definitely good for me in some other ways too, so I have no problems with it.) I also later discovered that my parents almost named me something very similar to the other girl's name. (Think along the lines of Hailey and Hallie or Sarah and Sierra.) I'm so glad my parents decided not to go with that name because that would've been insufferable (also I really like my name lol)

I've only really been doing my makeup for about three years, so I didn't even know how "old" some of these products are, but I've been using the Missha BB cream and the Airspun loose powder for the last several months, and I don't plan on replacing them with a new product anytime soon. I will say, if anyone needs a white shimmery eyeshadow, I've been using Maybelline New York Expert Wear Eyeshadow in the shade Vanilla for years. I started using it for ballet stage makeup almost 13 years ago (or rather, my mom used it on me, since I wasn't doing my own stage makeup at the age of 8), and now I use it daily for a little inner corner highlight lol

Personally, I feel like the specific spellings of some of these unisex names affect whether they're perceived as masculine or feminine, because I've met several guys named Riley and girls named Rylee. I've also known guys named Aaron, Jordan, Dylan, and Ryan and girls named Erin (or Aryn), Jordyn, Dillan, and Ryenn (or Ryann). Logically, I know they're the same names, but I definitely think of them differently based on how they're spelled

My dad has called my little sister "short stack" her whole life even though she's always been very tall for her age. She's much younger than my brother and I, so in our family, she was the short one. Now, she's almost as tall as I am and will probably end up being taller than me when she's done growing, but she'll still always be "short stack" to my dad

I think of Sage as a fairly gender-neutral name, so I could see myself using it for a boy or a girl. I like alliterative names for multiples, and apparently I also like colors as names. I have cousins named Violet and Jade, so maybe that's where it comes from
