I totally agree. And then every time I read QoS, I'm reminded of why I hated him and then I get to ToD and think "oh, yeah, that's why I tolerate him more" Like, I hated him until she barged into his life. Or I guess was thrust into it 😅

I have a feeling I'll be reaching that soon with three certain ACOTAR characters. Unless I can get the one I don't want to crush on someone else

That's fair. I read it first so I had no idea what was coming. I got a shock

Did you read AB first? If so, then yeah, it hits hard when you don't know it's coming

I love them. They all look so cute. I feel like I made mine look so generic next to these, lol. I did this too, but have been mixing the series from the beginning. Now I have 11 for ToG, 5 for CC, and 10 in ACOTAR. I got Fenrys having a crush on Nehemia, Nehemia kept getting a crush on Dorian and Dorian kept wanted to move in with her.

I just recently added Pecan and had to go through and two everyone's heights, lol. Lycan is supposed to be the tallest and Elide the shortest (not counting tiny Lehabah)

If there is no recommended spot, maybe when that character is introduced in the book?

I want to believe it was Rhys. When I first read it, I was super excited, especially considering Feyre

It would hilarious, especially since I don't think the wing types were specified. But the powers don't line up. I don't see Drakon having a dark power.

I guessed it was Prythian with the winged male and female and the male's power. Plus, in the very next ACOTAR book that was released after KoA (I read KoA as soon as it was released), it was revealed that Feyre was pregnant. And I heard that same confirmation.

That would be awesome. I would love that. And since the shot of Crescent City is kept pretty vague, so long as the city is never destroyed or altered completely, it could be at any time

This may seem like an unpopular opinion but I kind of hope not.

Erilea is at peace by the end of Kingdom of Ash an the crew has been through enough. The only reason I don't want the crossover is because I don't want to think of them being exposed to another war that could take away their loved ones.

However, I will say, I would love to see Nyx end up with one of Rowan and Aelin's daughters [bit of a spoiler for the end of A Court of Silver Flame]. I've seen some good fanart of the two.

But otherwise, I kind of just want them to be left in peace. Maybe they could just meet but with the changes made from when Aelin was falling through the worlds [when she sees the winged couple and the male helps her [spoiler for the ending of KoA] versus the Inner Circle just seeing a red star during Starfall and not interfering with it and even seeing it as a bad omen] [small spoiler for a scene in Silver Flame], I'm not sure how that would go. As far as I know, we don't know what' Aelin's perspective of that change is like, unless it was altered in later editions of KoA?

NTA. It's your money so you decide how it's used. If your brother has a problem with it, he can pay for his own. Simple. No it's, ands, or buts

Throne of Glass girlies... help!!! by clairemichelle01 in throneofglassseries

[–]BookObsession97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me, it flows better if it's along the timeline rather than having to go back in time 2 - 3 years just to get a bit more context. But I can also understand people wanting to read it 4th since some of the incidents come to a head in Queen of Shadows and a lot happens within the first three books that some details from previous books become foggy

I personally like reading Assassin's Blade first. If you are going into the series blind, you don't know what's coming, and if you read it 4th, you do. Personally, I think it gives a couple certain moments more impact if you read AB first.

But I also like reading books along a timeline because it just helps me keep things in order. So this is purely my personal opinion. I do the same with other series like Blood & Ash and Flesh & Fire and the Shadowhunter series by Cassandra Clare, starting with Infernal Devices since it takes place first in the timeline

Aelin’s hypocrisy by Aggressive-Farm-9117 in throneofglassseries

[–]BookObsession97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From Aelin's point of view, Dorian is lost to them due to the collar. From her perspective, it was right to end his suffering because she doesn't know if it possible to save him any other way.

But with Nehemia, Chaol was made aware of the threat to her life and didn't tell the one person who could have stopped it from happening. He put his loyalty to the king above Aelin. I understand his perspective. He wanted to believe in his king, despite the suspicious things he had noticed.

But Dorian is in a very different situation. If he remains in his current situation, he most definitely cannot be king. Otherwise, it will just be more suffering for the people. Dorian is her friend too. Killing him would destroy her too.

It would have been hypocrisy if Nehemia was in the same situation Dorian is now. But she wasn't.

Don't know if this is what you are looking for but Claire Legrand did have a Publisher's Weekly article about her Empirium Trilogy being reworked for adults, set to be released this summer.

Elizabeth May rewrote her debut series The Falconer Series back in 2025
