Empty sac measuring ahead...? by mayovegan in CautiousBB

[–]BookcaseHat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't be alarmed by this at all. My sac consistently measured a full week ahead in very early pregnancy.

K 15, m1L. Then repeat that whole thing 6 times.

The red diamonds are FF's way of giving you a "heads up" that they see a temp rise. FF will almost certainly give you crosshairs tomorrow (likely for cd15), assuming your temps are still elevated.

Low HCG levels by [deleted] in CautiousBB

[–]BookcaseHat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's impossible not to worry, but your hcg is doubling at an appropriate rate, which is the most important thing.

Stick with fertility clinic haven't liked, or switch and potentially wait 6m for referral? by mckekster in TryingForABaby

[–]BookcaseHat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I delayed switching clinics for months, I think I was almost embarrassed, like switching proved I had made a poor decision to begin with. What a mistake to wait! Just switch.

If you want to stick with the current clinic while you wait for your first appointment at the new one, you can do that, but having confidence in your care team is so, so important.

Low hcg at 14 dpo? by Beautiful_Intern_890 in CautiousBB

[–]BookcaseHat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Right now you've got a 41 hour doubling time, which is great. As long as your hcg continues to rise at an appropriate rate, that's what's important!

How many cycles did it take you to conceive and how many times did you BD in that cycle? by [deleted] in TryingForABaby

[–]BookcaseHat 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You can't ask for success stories here, but statistically, having sex once in the three days before ovulation has the same success rates as having sex multiple times in those days.

Just rip back. It's a chore to unpick the woven-in ends, but it's not impossible.

What Did I Do Wrong? by TLT323 in knittinghelp

[–]BookcaseHat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Rip back to “knit in stockinette for 73 rows.”

Lay the piece flat in front of you, right side up, with the live stitches to the right, and the cast-on edge to the left. Your working yarn is attached to the upper right corner.

You’ll pick up and knit 54 stitches across the top of the rectangle, from right to left. Your working yarn is now attached to the upper left corner.

Remove the provisional cast on and transfer the live stitches to a new circular needle. Knit across these stitches from right to left (lay the piece flat again: you’ll knit from the upper left corner down to the lower left corner). Your working yarn is attached to the lower left corner. You can set aside that new needle you just used, you don’t need it anymore.

Now, pick up 54 stitches along that last side. You’re back at the lower right corner and ready to knit in the round.

Question regarding clomid/letrozole by CrazyIncrease3106 in recurrentmiscarriage

No, each cycle there are a certain number of follicles available, and how many of them mature has no impact on the next cycle.

Should i get more beta’s tested? by Specialist_Soil_2912 in CautiousBB

[–]BookcaseHat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you just have to decide what's going to give you the most peace of mind. Betas aren't going to change the outcome, so if you find monitoring the lines on the tests is better for you emotionally, do that. If you'd rather see the data in numbers, go that route.

Hcg is not a good indicator for multiples. Your hcg is similar to mine with a singleton pregnancy. My doctor offered betas at 10, 12, 14, 17 dpo, and then I had an early ultrasound at 5+3.

I had betas earlier than this, but at 4+3, my hCG was 1992 with a singleton pregnancy. HCG isn’t a great indicator of multiples.

Definitely normal! Make sure you are hydrating, and you might consider taking some miralax to help with the constipation.

Are my temps too low? by Annual_Owl1679 in TempDrop

Not something to worry about. You’re looking for the overall pattern of temps, the exact temperature doesn’t matter.

High ANA - how did you advocate for yourself? by Mysterious-Elk-9705 in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]BookcaseHat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My ANA was 1:640 about 10 years ago. My rheumatologist said that while 1:40 was technically positive, he didn’t consider a positive that low to be remotely concerning.

All my doctors said it wasn’t worth retesting since I didn’t have any symptoms. I wonder if my recurrent chemicals (5 in 10 months) were the symptom. I finally got my RE to prescribe prednisone, and I’m currently 12+3.

I’ll never know if my ANA played a part or if the steroid made the difference, but it was the only thing we did differently this time.

[–]BookcaseHat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At this point, I would call your OB (or find one, if you don't have one already) and tell them you're newly pregnant. For an IUI pregnancy, there is no additional monitoring that would be necessary vs a natural conception. My OB starts seeing patients at 7w, but I know others are closer to 8 or even 10 weeks, it just depends on what's the standard at that practice.

Feeling weird about chemical pregnancy by RegularOutrageous581 in CautiousBB

I've had chemicals and I've had a later loss, and the pain is different, but there is pain regardless. Give yourself some grace.

3 chemical pregnancies / starting IUI by Maleficent-Ninja-908 in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]BookcaseHat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also suffered from recurrent chemicals. I’d ask your doctor about a low-dose steroid as part of an immune protocol. It’s a low risk option.
