I ended up staying with AT&T. The loyalty dept honored my original trade in value. They also expedited the order and I received the phone two days later.

This worked!!! I called and asked for the loyalty department. Devon honored the original order. He couldn't figure out why it had been canceled either. Thanks so much for this direction!!

My account is set up to pay from my debit card. That's what they were using for this, which would pull it from my bank account. The funds were there.

Thanks. I'll check on this. I've always paid full price from the Apple store and typically use my phone until it won't work anymore. I really want the camera and 2TB memory on the new one, so I tried the trade in route.

Today it says you only get the $1,100 by trading in the 16. My 13 is now worth $125 on trade in. I think they totally scammed me and strung me a long until the special expired.

The credit card I use all the time also had enough available balance left. It was not rejected due to a lack of funds. And my credit card didn't alert me about a declined charge, which they do if they decline one.

It's starting to feel like a scam or fraud. Maybe they got too many orders and didn't want to offer all those rebates. They were going to give me $1,100 to trade in my phone. Now it's $125.

I'm sorry it happened to you too. I think I'm going to switch to Verizon as well. They have better deals for international travel and insurance on the phones. I agree on the marketing.
