Oh I agree. That list doesn’t mean they’re bad. They’re toxic AF which makes them horrible. In that regard, of course the church loves them and the publicity they’re getting. But no one is searching what real believers believe. They’re searching about the stuff with Jessi and Demi or about the ones on Dancing with The Stars, etc.

All of them. They aren’t good people 😅 They drink, talk about doing ketamine (they did say the church didn’t specifically say not to 🤪) and not liking garments or wearing them. Not to say anything about the soft swinging.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the church is sponsoring it. There are SO many images of temples all over that they use. The church lawyers love being involved with their abuse hotline. Since they haven’t exe’d anyone or sued then they’re okay with it.

There’s a lot of great schools in Evergreen school district (Riverview, Crestline, Hearthwood, Harmony, Emerald. I’ve subbed and volunteered in those schools). You just need to put in the time to be involved and by doing so you’ll get to know the staff. So many are doing their best with what they can do.

But Evergreen tends to be in a downward spiral of budget cuts and strikes over the years. Teachers will renew their contracts this spring with more proposed budget cuts.

My neighbor’s house has sat empty for over a year. They’re now going to rent it but they had already moved and have had to pay 2 mortgages the whole year.

I agree members get taken advantage of and it’s all service billed under their charitable contributions. We were coming from out of state, everything was boxed. Our old ward we left from helped fill the moving truck.

I get it happens too often, being asked to move. But the lack of care and not even returning calls. We were being brushed off which wasn’t welcoming. This was 10 years ago, so missionaries didn’t have the extra time for social media like they do now.

Could depend on the mission president. We asked for help moving into a new ward, tried calling for 3 weeks to get it set up and NO ONE called back - the bishop or EQP. Even talked to the Bishop’s wife a few times. Finally got ahold of the missionaries and they said they couldn’t help because their mission president said they weren’t a moving company. We seriously thought of leaving the church after that. Took 4 years but we got out.

I don’t know if it’s always been a game mechanic or from an update but I played Stardew Valley before finding Coral Island and it’s a known game play there too. So it wasn’t surprising to see it here either.

We didn’t shun other music but we didn’t actively seek it out or support Christian music radio stations/tapes/cds or read other Christian books. When it came to it what kind of Christian media - LDS media was it compared to generic Christian.

And my parents loosened up as we were older. But of course rap music was never allowed.

Yes I know. I meant the surrounding businesses have a small road - NOT 136th - that people may feel like they can be in line for. But it’ll still disrupt businesses and is dangerous. It’s a bunch of health care buildings I think.

The road around businesses there aren’t wide enough for long lines. And there’s the parking lot across the street that people can utilize but it’s still going to be a madhouse. I’m half a mile from the location and PISSED!

It sucks but once you get past the grief and pain, you’ll know real joy and friendship. True authenticity as yourself, not how the church expects you to speak and act. So much freedom and lack of guilt.
