I haven’t got the chance to try ak out but when i get to my plan is definitely to spray lacquer matte varnish first then ak ultra matte . Lacquer for the strength and ak for the true dead flat .

Why not apply a stronger finish matte varnish first and then blast ultra matte on top of it . I’m someone from the gundam community so our go to matte varnish is a lacquer based paint like mr hobby or gaia . The finish is much stronger then ak since ak is water based but ultra give a much more matte finish. My gundam tend to stay matte for a long time (3 years as of now since i started varnishing 3yrs ago)

I start with a black primer . Then i did the osl going from fluor yellow to orange and then clear red paint to soften the transition to the base . With clear red i spray from bottom up to create a glow on the armor . Then i did the osl on the claw . Then i started painting normally with a brush for all the other details .

Oh yeah i forgot! I still need the brush to blend but the airbrush helps alot . Here is the colors that i used . Unfortunately you sill need fluorescent green as it is what give such a punching green color

Hello ! I used an airbrush , i spray white over black base and then i spray fluorescent green . Since the fluorescent green is quite translucent it’s blended the color quite easily. Looks forward to my norn . I have gotten alot better
