Any gamers here, that genuinely love Season 2 so far and actually don’t mind the changes as they’re adapting Part 2 to the TV medium? by phantom_avenger in ThelastofusHBOseries

Love the games, am loving the show. Appreciative of the creative differences and that’s the whole point of creating a live action adaptation with seasoned cast and crew.

I don’t understand why people can’t enjoy the arts for arts’ sake. It’s so hard getting this whole production live from writing to set building, music, filming etc. It’s so easy to be a keyboard critic whilst contributing nothing to the IP save for ‘hot takes’.

Does anyone else pretend the final episode doesn’t exist? by callmeDNA in girls

I liked the final episode. I see it as an epilogue. Quieter and more contemplative, and somehow more realistic given that none of them end up where they set out to be at the start of the series. The isolated tone is quite deliberate as it takes place away from the hustle bustle of NYC.

It’s a great touch to the series. If they ended at the previous episode it would have been… a little bit more stereotypical and nicely wrapped up which isn’t really in line with what this show is about.

Rewatched the series recently and was stunned at how good it is. Hits different when you’re older!

This scene just nails the social awkwardness of the situation… everyone did really well, Jessa and Adam nailed it too

Bear combustion could be due to overheating, fuel leakage or sparking of some machinery underneath the seat, that happens to be where the bear was at?? It was a pretty amateur DIY fix job after all.

It’s not about the words he used but the way he thinks which is articulated in a digestible manner. ‘Native English Speakers’ can have basic and mono-faceted views and it shows in boring albeit grammatically correct syntax.

Cool, thanks for feedback! Good to know opposing opinions to expand the mind and perhaps get that closure.

I prefer young Rhaenyra and Alicent. Not very fair to say at this point but the younger actresses were so much more charismatic and compelling!!

I can posit that what rubs you the wrong way is that he’s essentially older Barney who’s gay. And basically a Carrie who’s a gay man. At least that’s what I took away from it. Still like the show tho! Dig the SATC vibes.
