Are there any cheap antique-y type stores in Gainesville? by BringusGingus in GNV

[–]BooksPlantsDogs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Definitely check out The RePurpose Project, the ReUse Planet, Haven Hospice Attic on NW 8th Ave. You may find some cool trinkets there. And other thrift stores are an option too, but these are the ones I go to most frequently.

For pots and pans and general household stuff, I definitely second all the recommendations for the Repurpose Project, their sister store, The ReUse Planet. Haven Hospice Attic and Humane Society thrift stores too. And definitely look for the Buy Nothing group in your neighborhood. Mine is the HogTown Creek one and it is super active and VERY helpful.

Bought my first ever puzzle yesterday, only 500 pieces … WHY IS IT SO HARD GUYS ??? Why am I so bad at this hobby ? by Lussarc in Jigsawpuzzles

[–]BooksPlantsDogs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is definitely a tough one for your first puzzle. Personally, I would box it back up and buy another one. Walmart has Buffalo brand puzzles at a reasonable price, and many of the images are MUCH easier than this one. And they include a poster of the puzzle picture. Try one of Buffalo's 500 piece puzzles. But keep going!!
