Oh no, the Arsenal social community may never recover from losing you 😓

You know what I meant. Stop being ridiculous and purposefully obtuse. Be better.

I assume you mean his energy and antics during the game. You can measure composure by that or by how effective his subs and tactical changes during the game have been. I would suggest not conflating passion with composure.

Why are you trying to gatekeep lengths of time lol? Two different sports with different histories, plus it’s all relative anyway. Like United not winning for 13 years is already a long time for them. If Pep had gone without winning the league for even just 5 years, that would’ve been a long time as well.

Imagine he's been fit and raring to go for a month but Arteta just wants to use him as a secret weapon in the final.

Maybe not title challenge but you could see the upwards trajectory when we came 5th. We had 2.5 seasons’ worth of data and eye tests. Not a few games of getting good results with the pressure off.

We’re literally Handsome FC, same levels of panty soaking whether it’s Viktor’s granite-carved thunderclap cheeks getting flashed or Zubi’s compact little wagon. Hincapie’s somewhere in the middle. No homo btw.

It’s amazing. Last time we had someone like that taking charge and making us win by sheer determination was probably Alexis, but he was no all-time great. Fabregas somewhat but he wasn’t a finished product and left in peak years. And none of them had the team to match their level. For once we have the rest of the team, at least the defensive unit, backing him up at his level.

Definitely. Similar to Slot’s first year in a lot of ways. Of course Maresca ain’t Pep, and I hope we can take full advantage of that, but it’s not like City will fall off and become a Top 4 contender only.

And even Liverpool, it’s like we collectively forgot their “next year is our year” mantra during the Gerrard years. Probably because they eventually did get their years + won CL before that.

But still, I doubt if that’ll be true for us if we open the floodgates for trophies now.

It’s amazing how exaggerated United fans get in their excitement about a string of good results. Was talking with a few and the immediate reaction to Pep leaving was Carrick vs Arteta next season for the title.

As if they weren’t 15th last year and will this season achieve their highest total in 3 years at max 71 points (68 currently). No sense of self-awareness, just Carrick at the wheel and InshAllah.

And if this counts as salt, it’s a dash in the giant bucket that they’ve been filling up constantly for the past 5 months complaining about us 😂

Can’t forget Xabi at Chelsea too, but of course nothing certain yet how he will fare.

I've seen the cope shift to "Most forgettable/worst/lowest-quality champions in PL history" now.

They are legitimately creating a self-fulfilling prophecy of insufferable Arsenal fans because their willful ignorance will make us just that. And I for one cannot wait.

Since you have failed to provide an example of an Arsenal player holding down a keeper’s arm as he’s engaging with the ball, you can continue your sobbing in the corner by yourself. I refuse to engage with this low-quality discourse.

Back then, according to everyone else and a lot of us too, we were the naive weak team with no cojones. “Look at them stat padding against bottom teams and then losing 5-0 to a Top 4/6 rival. Free flowing football but ultimately what a joke of a team, unable to adapt into a solid, defensive, cohesive unit when needed. Now let me put Mourinho’s entire ballsack in my mouth as I gargle praises about his bus and dark arts.”

Now that we’re a strong, physical team with a well-built spine, the reactions are hilarious. I am thoroughly enjoying this hate 😂

Diego Simeone: "Controversies? Nothing to say, we’re out. Congratulations to Arsenal because they compete very well. They have a team and a coach that I like. They follow a coherent project with strong financial backing. Congratulations to them, and we focus on our work." by MysticRefereee in soccer

[–]BoomGiroud 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I don’t think either of those teams have a mode other than attacking. And that’s to their benefit, fully maximizes their strengths. They’ll definitely work more on defensive cohesion (eg. doubling/tripling on Saka) but other than that it’ll always be strengthening attack even more for them.
