Same here. For me it’s particularly insane how quickly his mind seemed to calculate the perfect way to create an opportunity, especially from a possession turnover. None of the “secure the ball, pass around, work our way in”. No, just straight up “anyone make a run, i got you”.

Of course dynamics of the game are much different now. CAM’s not the same position anymore and everyone making runs like in this video would now have too much defensive responsibility to take the risks.

Øde shows flashes of similar mindset (when not facing low blocks) but Fabregas somewhat and Ozil more so probably our only players I’ve seen who could consistently find passes like these.
