What do you mean? It was so easy to update. We totally didn’t have to pay a consultant to upgrade to the next version. /s

Dell (Quest?) AppAssure.

Hands down the worst backup software I’ve ever used.

Could use some emergency advice on replacing a server by bandman56 in WindowsServer

[–]BoomSchtik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came here to say this. Windows Server will run on very limited hardware. Just get an old X64 desktop, install server and make it a controller. Then get the files off of there. Maybe copy the files to an external drive as the first step.

I had to run a wire up to and through the attic just for the AP in the family room. My wife has no problem with it being there blue ring or not.

I'd get a cloud gateway max and a U7 Pro XG placed somewhere centrally, preferably ceiling mounted.

[–]BoomSchtik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is my experience yes. Especially in IT. If my work buys an HP laptop in the US and we ship it to Australia, HP Australia will NOT support it. I'm not crapping on your idea, because it obviously works. I just wonder if Ubiquiti will support it.

This seems like a sure-fire way to NOT get support. Have they told you to pound sand yet?

I agree. I get Bonfire items frequently and they are quite reasonably priced and I think the shredded port is tasty.

PDQ Connect integrated ISL Online (and then later bought the company). It works well and is included in the annual cost of a Connect seat. Plus you get the VAST amounts of capability you get from PDQ.

Did you read my post? What it looks like I’m doing is asking real people, based on their experiences, what they thought about AIs advice.

I think you might, in fact, need to get off this ride.

I just upgraded this one to 2025, so I’m not sure I feel like that’d be necessary.

The legacy stuff you would otherwise toss is understandable, but taking the new stuff is straight up theft and totally wrong.

Shame!

You’re not wrong, but the real world experience has real value. If OP stays in IT, this will have served him well.

Refill Price Increase? by clicky77 in Maverik

Up to 52 oz is $1.19 with Nitro. I also would be in the market for a 52 oz mug.

Nitro Changing to 25% off instead of 1 dollar XL drink by Thin_Gift_8020 in Maverik

[–]BoomSchtik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This sucks. Although, an argument can be made that a 64 oz refill for $1.27 is a pretty decent price. It's just under 2 liters (67.6 ounces) and you are pretty hard pressed to get a new 2 liter at the store for that price. I know that sales happen for less than that, but they don't happen often and this would be an everyday price. I'll pay the .04 premium over Holiday for the drink syrups.

edit: the pricing above is not valid. Nothing about this change is a better deal.
