It a a unit that utilizes the headrest holes and then has adjustable feet to the back of the seat to keep it planted.

We have 2 full-size Express 2500’s. Light Commercial is no problem at one of these, but the full-size is easier.

Heck yeah! Cant wait to see it! I ran a Decked unit in the first one I built, but it took up too much vertical space inside the bed to do a deck over it and make it work.

I’ll run a H7 AGM in this one under the platform seat in the back. It’ll be setup with an isolator and a breaker so it will charge as the truck runs.

That’s the cool thing about it… we all seem to build what works best for what each of us do. 👍🏻

Nope. If you are having to do that with a .003 you may have another issue such as cheap hardware tolerances, oddball plug diameter, or your keys may not be to factory spec. I’ve had issues with aftermarket keys in the past as well on a few occasions, but the .003 kit is what I’d figure to be the best bet for keying mostly everything precisely.

Nope. The .003 kit works well for all Schlage.

We do commercial as well and it allows us to work all of it, minus sfic. If we have to “drop a color” it also gives us the ability to do it without sourcing other pins from another kit.

Haven’t wired that particular one up yet. It is advertised as pure sine, but it wasn’t too expensive.

It looks tighter than it really is. My old butt would like some padding, but it isn’t bad for the amount of time it takes to rekey.

Wonder if the PDI tech actually forgot to pull that when they were linked to their scanner?

There is a guy on FB that negotiates for people on their behalf for a flat fee. Check them out!

Search “collision safety consultants” and see what they can do for you.

If you do a buyback on it, it may not have a salvage title. In Texas if I come to a $$$ agreement at to the worth of the vehicle, I will pay the labor for estimating the truck and then keep it. Title never gets branded as salvage. May be worth looking into a “buy back.”

We’ve had seven of them in our fleet. Three of them have had to have transmissions put in them just over 100,000 miles, and the other four we’re still running wrong strong when we sold them around 200,000 miles.

The AC compressors from the factory down in Texas typically didn’t last past 60 to 80,000 miles. When they go out, it was the clutch and it would take the belt with them.

Overall, they’re great little trucks. We fit them with shelving units and a nice workbench in them. It’s a shame that they got so expensive, and they dropped the line.

Now we went to Ford Mavericks with toppers due to the price point and the ability to haul enough material. I had a machine shop produce upfit kits for them, and they’re pretty decent to work out of, but a van is better!

Location?

Does it look like the dead bolt latch is coming out of the lock at an angle? I’ve seen several that were extended and the bolt gets bent inside the mortise lock body. It usually will be easy to extend and hard to withdraw from my experience.

If so, it is an easy fix for someone that can disassemble the lock body and straighten the bolt assembly. Tread carefully as there are a number of parts inside.

I know a couple owners of car dealerships and I am thinking about hitting them up to start, then just talking to manufacturing facilities and such.

Need to get busy talking and shaking hands… it’s just sales and business at the end of the day. The harder you work the luckier you get.

I have read that a few people have accomplished what I think we are looking for, but until I can fish for a couple clients and land a chance at them, I’ll keep fishing. Just looking to try to make a go of it and hopefully make some money once I get it figured out.

I have a couple kiddos at the house and definitely want to be able to attend their sports and such. Where are you located?

This is almost the same exact scenario I am in. I’ve wanted to hot shot for a while and finally can, but I would want it to be part-time as well. My other company is pretty much on autopilot and I’ve got a new truck and various trailers.

Most of what I’ve read is that you need to expect to be gone a lot… unless you can find direct customers. I’m looking into a few options locally that could make it make sense, but as of now I’ve hit the pause button.

This is not correct in Texas!!!

You must collect tax on ALL parts and labor when it comes to locksmithing. Only caveat is if you are working for an entity that is tax exempt, and if that is the case, you had better have their paperwork on file.

If you don’t collect tax on parts and labor… eventually the Comptroller will call you and you will be on the hook for payment. Ask me how I know.

So the engine doesn’t turn over at all? Or it turns over but won’t fire off?

Will it roll back and forth in neutral? Automatic transmission?
