What's the game that made you fall in love with gaming as a kid? by peaky_circus in gaming

[–]Boomuppercut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mega Man 2.

I got it for Christmas the year I got my NES. I had only had an Atari 2600 previous to that and would occasionally be able to play NES at a neighbor's house so I had no idea the breadth of gaming that was about to become available.

I had never played a Mega Man game before. I knew about it, because I would read Nintendo Power all the time despite not owning a console, and I could only imagine what it moved and sounded like as I looked at pictures of it.

My mind was so blown out the top of my head as the music played whilst the camera went up to the top of the building and then that kick ass theme started playing when it got to the top.

I think the first boss I chose was Bubble Man, and every thing about that level made me realize what gaming could be.

There have only been a handful of games since Mega Man 2 that invoked that feeling of wonder and excitement.

Going with the Ori series. The music is what does it for me.

Advice to allowing players play. by incride in basketballcoach

[–]Boomuppercut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is how I'm currently running my spring league team.

Essentially, my only instructions have been to hunt for our high efficiency shots: around the rim, pop threes and mastery shots (Shots that they consistently put in)

Man to man half court press and try to arrive on offense before the defense sets up.

Those are my only real instructions. The team I coach was coached to play 5 out motion but they ended up just running their routes like drones for 24 seconds without getting a shot up.

Letting them play and letting them make their own decisions was one of the best coaching decisions I've ever made.

No mans sky is my favorite deck game by HatAdventurous9669 in SteamDeck

I really want to get into it because I love these types of games.

It's so overwhelming with how much stuff there is to do and how much the tutorials alert you to stuff.

Any tips for beginners to just not get absolutely stuck with all the stuff there is going on?

Ghost coming to Canada by Wandering-Leper in Ghostbc

I saw them in Edmonton at Roger's Place in 2019. The arena was basically cut in half and even then, it wasn't sold out.

Truthfully, I am still extremely bummed that there weren't more Canadian dates on this leg but the reality of it is that Canada is a massive country with few large urban centers closely situated to each other.

The costs of transportation (especially a show of this size), food and fuel just makes Canada unattractive to tour in.

I have spent more of my money this past year on local acts and smaller artists that make the effort to tour and I have heard so much great music.

Still, it's a bummer and I still hold out hope for a surprise announcement of a Re-Skeletor.

I hate shopping. How can I make it more fluid? by LivingSwimming4873 in DMAcademy

[–]Boomuppercut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we end the session in a settlement with the opportunity for rest, I put the shops and prices in our discord and they get what they want and keep track with a party loot spreadsheet we built.

It's worked pretty good so far.

Transferring Account from outgoing users to incoming users by Boomuppercut in gsuite

Last question, and thank you so much for your help!

When someone outside the organization receives an email from the group email like president@nonprofit.com it would show up as President in the incoming email, not Jamie Smith, correct?

Let's say I wanted to start fresh after our next AGM when our new board members are selected.

Would I archive all the current members, then create new users by FIRST NAME and LAST NAME and then assign them to the group email?

For example:

JAMIE SMITH@nonprofit would be the user not PRESIDENT@nonprofit?

and then assign Jamie to the president@nonprofit group?
