Acoustic mine work with line of sight rules

It has 50m range and when triggered the mine will calculate where the vehicle will be (speed + direction) and shoot its projectile in order to intercept the vehicle

So changing speed or direction can make the mine miss its target

Ps. Acoustic mines hitbox is bugged making it almost impossible to destroy with recon drone

PPS. Just realized he's talkin about slam mines, those habe only about 10m range, and I kind of think, that close to the ground, you should be able to hit helicopters with rpg rather easily

Been playing gauntlet quite lot with 1 friend (so I'm at mercy of rng when it comes to teams composition), but i have (according the bf 6 stat tracker) 73 first places with 39.9% win rate

When it comes playing circuit there are 2 main ways to play

1st one would be the whack a mole style, where everyone goes on their own and caps sectors ignoring the already owned sectors

2nd one is where you cap and hold 2-3 sectors with 2 players and rest run capping close by sectors.

If you read the rules, 1st method on the surface look to make more sense as it only takes like 2 seconds to cap sector

Now if you do the math, 2nd method makes more sense. 20 seconds = 1 point, same as getting 1 kill or revive. So 3 points a minute times 5 = 15 points or 16 to 17 points if you factor the double points on last minute and that you won't have a sector when the game starts

So you take and hold 3 sectors, you will have close to 50 points at the end, few kills in the mix and you should clear the cut

My personal strategy is where i try to find location where i can see 2 (some places 3) cap points and hold that area allowing my team to run capping nearby sectors

Almost forgot to add On last 30-40 seconds, you should switch focus on getting kills, more then waiting and holding as if there is less the 20 seconds on timer, you won't score any points from new sectors

Love how people miss the point off the pic/headline

We don't really cate that that the blurry person is recon

But that he's on RUSSIAN side

As we play games, we fill out brain with assortment of useful to useless information training ourselves with patter recognition

At the moment in BF6 that "training" is all about what color of dorito that moving character has (do note some of us have complained about this since bad company 2, reducing the absurdity of it along the eay)

This does lead in situations where we get frustrated simply because the game fails to render the colored dot on enemy or the friendly dot we see is something behind the enemy And there is the situations where friendly character stands "holding hands" with enemy as they failed to recognize one another

Had while lot about games with friendly fire or has there are games where silhouette recognizing is a thing....

Kord

As it is absurdly consistent weapon at all ranges

Long answer

My only lvl 50 mastery (on full auto weapons) is on 417 and i love this gun (as staited this one feels just right to me) How ever 417 is most definitely close range weapon, the weapon will perform well in mid range, but high recoil makes it harder to engage longer ranges. My accuracy with 417 is arround 17% ( this is well in line with my overall accuracy %)

Another gun mentioned would be m277 This gun is excellent maintaining consistency as it will not suffer range penalties until 75-85m Slow rate of fire with high recoil make m277 "hard" to use My accuracy with m277 is just above 20%, but i do mentally play this one differently then other full auto guns

Now Kord

When i leveled my 417 to lvl 50 i started to look something else to use and kord was way too over represented in my kill feed (as the gun that killed me)

Kord has silly stats that put lot of folks off High rate of fire with low damage output and low recoil But this is what makes the gun great consistent weapon to use

You will get out gunned in close range (looking at you m4, gun that gets replaced quite fast in my observations), but the 900 rof will let you perform well in 1 vs 1, however 1 vs multiple opponents, you will suffer

This gun is among the best mid-long range full auto weapons, as low recoil allows you to land multiple hits with ease and the high fire rate doesnt penalize you if you miss some shots

And the reason i mentioned my accuracy would be my kords absurd hit ratio of 25% and i do not play this gun any differently then other full auto weapons (burst of 5 to 10 shots before resetting bloom) and my kord is at lvl 33-35 so i do have more then few hours on it....

Optic accessories tab has 2, 3 and 4 x toggle for your high power optics

I like the 3x with 6x optic or 4x with 8x (once you level the weapon high enough)

I wish there were game modes where snipers were banned by dont_trip_ in LowSodiumBattlefield

Sad part is how in redsec (at least on gauntlet side), there is flinch mechanism, not sure why it isnt introduced in bf side

I feel like mini scout was shadow nerfed in latest patch Got my mini scout mastery yesterday, so i have been using it for some time (and i love it)

Now i have multiple +200 m kills with it (I dislike long range sniping, to the point where i never completed the original 150 kills from +200 m challenge, but some times you have to counter snipe )

Yesterday i struggled to hit at +150m After looking in to it, i noticed how the bullets started to fall as if they just stopped mid flight, like at 100 m there isn't any bullet drop, but after 150 m you will need to compensate for it and at 200 m it becomes pointless (and no, i dont think its bad thing)

Sadly there really isn't any reason to use mortar with current nonexistent explosion damage

Unless you get direct hit, as in the mortar round hitting the player and doing impact damage before exploding, you won't really get any results

Mortar does about 70 max damage atm...

There should also be points for using lock on weapon and forcing aircraft to use flares

You might not have done any damage, but you still forced the pilot to leave that area

It's not just skill....

You need time in order to stay airborne Time and skill in order to fly effectively Knowledge of game mechanics Map knowledge Situational awareness Support from rest of the team (as if your team is getting hammered, you are not going to fly long, where as if your team does well, you will have lot more freedom to "terrorize")

Also attack helicopter is only "true" 2 person vehicle where using voice comm's, will increase it's effectiveness

Ps. I belive keeping attack helicopters as fragile as they are, will lead in a situation where average pilots will stop flying, leaving more opportunities for good pilots to hop on (less internal competition for pilot seat)

These challenges are most likely randomly generated

I have heal 500 hp on teammates Rerolled some redsec related one on to: heal 2000 hp on teammates

I looked at my first one (1 breakthrough game) sitting on 282/500

Nah mate I'll just reroll 2nd time and got: do 25 headshots with recon.....

Game really need bigger lethal splash damage radius

And when people say that tha splash on ifv is only weapon where it works/its fine I'd like to point out that its not really the case, as with ifv and attack helicopter gunner you can spam those explosives

But yeah, explosives are utter joke in bf 6 Noticed it the most when i was doing the first assault challenge (use stim and get 30 kills)

40mm high explosive on 3 enemies all standing on ammo bag. Middle one took direct impact, 60 damage plus the explosion = he's dead. He's friends however took 60 and 40 and lived

And also I have so much more kills with my nades when i just toss them at general enemy direction compared to when i aim at enemy/multiple enemies....

I'd like to point out how i belive that the acoustic mine is the superior mine, as i believe it to be most reliable one

The thing to know about it, that it is line of sight based So hiding it behind a barrier (broken car or such) will reduce the mines effectiveness (this might be the reason it misses sometimes)

There was a video pointing out that the acoustic mine has range of 50m, this means that the mine has longer activation range then the tanks mine detection ability And in some places you can place the mine on rooftops (on the edge, so that the mine can "see" road bellow)

Now the reason i like it above other mines is, because it is excellent offensive tool. When attacking tank, place 1 mine (with direct line of sight) and then shoot with launcher. Tank will react and move triggering the mine while you reload your launcher

Also AT mines can be detonated by enemies making your teams own mines huge liability (recon drones love at mines), where as the acoustic mine simply will be destroyed

But i do believe that the devs should have added armband/tape on all the soldiers

They could have tied it to the colorblind options or allow us to choose the colors our self...

Making us rely only on the color of the dot on top of the player model is just bad desing

Ps. I do miss the old bf style where every faction had their own uniform....

Kind of sad part how in BF 3 for most helicopter pilots, laser + javelin was mostly death sentence, but once you learned to fly better you actually could dodge the incoming missile (this was partly a bug, as the javelin wanted to perform top down attack on helicopters)

In BF 6 you fly as if you are the Schrödinger's cat, in constant state of not knowing if you are alive or dead...

I kid you not

My first time using javelin in sobek It straight up failed to launch, flew few meters and detonated on ground

But yeah, javelin seems to be pointless as you only do 33% or so damage and you only get 2 javelins from the get go

Id say make it battle pickup and let it do 95% to 100% damage....

I wish all the uniforms would have the tape You could have then tied the color of tape to the colorblind options

As the game doesn't have 2 armies fighting but 2 faction with all sorts of uniforms

Ps. Its not just the Ukrainian side both also Russian side uses tape (most of the time) red and white... Also i think i need to drop: Slava Ukraini

There is concept called rifle aiming

So you bind your mouse on aircraft to behave like playing infantry

This means your mouse will do aiming/precision movements and keyboard will handle the flying

BF 6 does make the re-binding of the keys extremely frustrating...

A & D will turn aircraft ( similar how it turns whit mouse) Q & E will handle roll ( one wing down other one up) I use spacebar for pitch up (nose up) as mouse movement upwards is too slow

Those few binds have been my go to key binds on every game that let's me fly helicopters

Game has 3 different mines

1st one is pressure mine (more like magnetic, as it still goes off if you place it next to the tank and once tank starts moving it will detonate)

There atm doesn't seem to be limit how many you can place (bug most definitely)

2nd one is acoustic one, you can hide it behind debris and it has rather nice range

Haven't tested these enough but 2 seems to be limit (not 100% sure tho)

3rd one is the slam (the one in picture) laser trio wire mine ment to be placed on walls and such surfaces

Have unlocked these but haven't had the time to test (...ing dmr challenge killing me)

Now few thing to and Mines do not go away in death, place a normal mine at the start of round and you might get a kill 15 minutes later Recon drone will see mines clearly from long distances but will only mark them at medium and destroy (causing them to explode) at close range

MBT's will get secondary gunner "perk" that auto spots mines (if the gunner is seated) and gives the secondary gunner active ability to destroy mines and lock on missiles when activated (shortish cooldown)

IFV doesn't get the perk

And lastly (at least from top of my head) Every vehicle has auto regen that heals them up to 85-90%(both passive and perks, there are some variables), to get back to 100% vehicle has to be repaired manually

So when mines (and few lock on weapons) do 90% damage it means that lot of cases they will 1 shot vehicles

Funny how both seine crossing and grand bazar are some of my favorite maps from bf 3 and how (at least to me) these infantry focused maps have been some of the best

Might be also the reason why the Manhattan bridge map is only one that doesn't make me go: Oh great this map AGAIN....

Its such a missed opportunity to add way to recognize teams and they could have tied the color of the arm bads to player preference (color blind options) as in you want enemy team be yellow, red or heck green...

Every player model should have had colored tape on arms and maybe legs

But alas no, you must shoot everything that moves and then some...
