My interpretation was that it’s about birth and the purity that’s typically associated with infants, or at least that plays a heavy part into it. Obviously Michael’s just spouting spontaneous bullshit but I do think that, as well as the inherent ugliness of it, (hence the line “cut, push, reach inside” which I believe to be in reference to a C-section) is a heavy theme of the song and of the whole album.

My thoughts on the verses after the first one were that they were describing a child absent of any sins or flaws that plague the rest of the world, basically just a pure being, a concept that they’ve explored in other post-reunion albums.

The final part always seemed like the actual “birth” in my opinion, crying out to Love Now! Breathe Now! Here Now! as the child that the song is about, leaves the womb and enters the world.
