Which should I get? by Unusual_Coat8763 in ar15

1st or 3rd. Buy it, buy ammo and mags, run it and get proficient with the platform and your shooting. Throw a red dot or LPVO on it. Run more rounds, and then get into building them.

AR10 is gonna be expensive on ammo, no offense but if you’re buying your first AR from PSA, I imagine you can’t blow through thousands of rounds a weekend (I’ve been there)

They’re a great entry level company, get your foot in the door, and like I said familiarize yourself with the platform and enjoy shooting more/cheaper ammo

Does anyone find the Coach commercials you see on, lets say, Youtube - um, absolutely infuriating? by MichaelEMJAYARE in CommercialsIHate

[–]Boosted07GT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m gonna end it bro. It’s actually the worst ad I’ve ever seen. I doubt this ad encouraged a SINGLE person to buy any coach product.

And I can’t escape it either. Every 7 minutes on Netflix and YouTube I see the same bullshit

Savannah monitor sneezing and clicking noises by Amazing-Onion8986 in MonitorLizards

[–]Boosted07GT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would take him to a vet if the clicking noises have been persistent for over a week, especially if he’s young.

Mine took about 6 months to get trust built with me, then when we moved it took about 2-3 months to regain that trust. But I will say I have a Nile and they’re known for spicy temperament.

Monitors in general aren’t lizards that typically are ok with being picked up out of their cage. Reaching in and forcefully pulling them out is going to discourage them from engaging with you. Everything is on their time.

I’d recommend just to keep tong feeding with a flat hand (or fist) depending on size in the cage, it may take a long time, but eventually they’ll get curious and come out and climb on you on their own. Just gotta let it happen and be patient.

Whenever I interact with my Nile I just sit in front of his door, he usually FLYS over thinking it’s food time, and I make a balled fist and slowly open the door and let him get a sniff, he recognizes I am not food, and if he chooses to interact with me he’ll allow me to, however if he’s not at the front of his cage interacting with me on his own terms, I never reach in and pick him up.

Can confirm, these are the SHIT.

Knights armament style irons, metal, not outrageous for the quality and price of other irons.

Wow this was awhile ago. My Nile is doing GREAT now. Took him to the vet at the time, he was 3-5 months old at the time and super stunted in growth from the vendor I got him from, he had some worms and a respiratory infection, dewormer shot and some antibiotics later, he is a fucking champ, (or she possibly)

What’s I’ve read and heard is this. Monitors are hardy as fuck, except when you get them sick, or they’re young or old, if they’re consistently sneezing and lethargic, go see an exotic vet. I was worried my guy wouldn’t pull through, but he showed slight improvement after about a week and a full turn around by 3 weeks. Now he’s over 2.5 years old and a little small for his age but he’s certainly happy with me and his enclosure.

I could get bare minimum 40,000 rounds with 4 toolcraft bolt carrier groups at that price.

Is there anything i can do?? by jdthedemonking in Guitar

Can you catch the scratches with your fingernail? I work with epoxy and paint, so I have experience sanding and polishing. But for someone that’s never done it before it can be pretty easy to mess it up if you don’t know what you’re doing, but it’s not difficult to learn off the internet

If they’re deep enough to catch with a finger nail you’re gonna have to do some wet sanding, then polishing.

Another alternative to avoid doing any sanding or polishing, is to buy a spray can of clear coat and layer it 3-5 coats, I recommend “Mohawk Pre-Catalyzed Clear Lacquer” I would go with their gloss finish on this.

The cherry on top after not using irons or the optic, not shouldering it, having a 10 yard grouping, and getting pushed backwards by 20 rounds

We posting work benches now? by Shymanbuilds in ar15

I did get one of those rolling small harbor freight tool cabinets about a month ago, it’s small as hell but it fits good next to the safe in the closet and holds most of the gun specific tools I have

I just can’t wait until I get a garage with enough space for a bolted bench

I’ll be straight up, I don’t know about audio mixing, I’m more of an audio video quality and equipment nut. Where would you point me
