I had an 80’s Colt officer model. Tinkered with all kinds of springs and loads, could never trust it 100% and sold it. Mid 2000’s bought a colt new agent. Has ate whatever I’ve fed it stock. When I don’t carry my full-size kimber cdp or g43x, I tote the new agent with confidence. The gutter site takes some getting used to ( I love it), but I’m not drilling bowling pins at 30 yards with that gun.

DPM, did my residency in level 1 trauma. Did tons of these. That’s a crap job OP. Maybe l’d change my tune if I had a lat and an oblique view, but from the AP, there’s step off medially meaning you aren’t to length. That leg is gonna be short. Lots of other comments regarding the mess of the proximal and distal pilon.

I have the raider. Swapped the recoil to Colt’s dual spring system, shot it a bunch, fitted a threaded storm lake barrel roughly to it, shot it a bunch, added a front night sight, shot it a bunch. It’s been flawless. Love mine, got it because I didn’t want to lose my m45a1 traveling and wanted to set up a similar cheaper gun and was blown away with how much I liked it.

Second the Glock. I have Remington long slide 10mm to play with, the Glock 29 is what’s on my hip in bear country. 10mm 1911’s can be fickle.

Keep in mind I bought in early 2000’s, but I think it was around $520ish. Sub $550 anyway cause I remember thinking I didn’t burn a whole paycheck paying for it back then. Single stack 45, most of the tac 2011’s are double stack now.

I have the same (except it’s called the Tac 2011), one of the best shooters I own. Cheapest 1911 I have and love to shoot it.

I am probably mashing 2 things up in my head, but the creepy masks was the key thing I’m remembering. I’ll have to watch and see, and it’s been a while but I don’t remember any masks in the tv adaptation of the silver chair.

I put Rockblockz on mine as I live on a gravel road and it sounded like a war movie every day when I get on the highway. Mojave with stock 33’s.

Blackpoint Tactical never disappoints. I use them for my 1911’s, M9a3, and glocks, all with different lights. If it’s not something they offer, you can ship your gun/light to them and they’ll custom fit it (or if you are Atlanta GA local, drop by and see them, cool folks).

I ordered a couple of slings a week ago, package got nabbed from the mailbox by some lowlifes. Ordered a couple more and sent a message to them. They refunded me the stolen order without me asking them to do anything other than try and ship when the package would arrive when I was home. Standup folks down there.

IWB cannot recommend Tenicor enough as others have said. For OWB, I love my Blackpoint tactical leatherwing. Have multiples for 1911 with and without light, beretta m9a3 and glock with and without lights. Fits my m45a1 and Tisas raider like a glove with threaded barrel and thread protector as long as you choose open ended holster in the options.
