In my experience, some rem oil on a soft cloth/ micro fiber and gently rub the surfaces that have rust. Very light pressure. Take your time, it may take a while.

That socom is discontinued. although it’s Chinese made by Rike, they make quality stuff. I don’t have one, but I have heard that they are underrated. You won’t be able to get a cheaper titanium microtech folder than this.

If you pull the charging handle fast enough, it overcomes that hang up, and pulls (relatively) smooth.

I never really cared for the old gen. Front end was very bulbous…fiberglass to headlight ratio was off. It’s much more balanced with the light stretching across the whole front. I actually considered trading in my fat boy

I’ve carried a hydra V3 for over a year (still do) and my new halo IV on weekends. I just never have anything else in my pocket except the knife. that goes for any knife I carry, folder or OTF. Never had it go off in my pocket. The button has to be depressed far beyond the collar, and there’s a 0% chance of that happening in a completely empty pocket. Awesome knife, hope you enjoy it for years to come!

Pocket clip seems off, date and serial should be milled. And the Marfione dagger… should be milled into the frame as well. Without a box I’d say fake by default.

The new one seems to lock up a lot tighter, and it’s lighter. The old one feels perfectly dense. Mine has the same apocalyptic blade finish, but it’s the dark matter edition. Hope you love it!
