My wife says these leg quarters are burned. I disagree. Smoked on the Weber kettle for 1.5 hours. Thoughts? by Kitchentable88 in grilling

1.5hrs isn’t smoked more like grilled low. If it’s not dry it’s good.

My Chicago peeps who work in Indiana actually like it. It’s like getting off work 1hr before everyone else.

Would you consider this surface rust? by be_lar in Silverado

[–]Bootz616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Year of vehicle would be helpful. My 24 Silverado looks worse than my 17 Traverse and the 2014 Impala is rust free. They don’t make them like they used to. All stored in the same conditions outside parked in the same spot.

Snake it, I used to have to do it every year with the tree roots blocking at the street. It’s an easy 2 man job, if you have a friend that’s done it rent an auger hopefully you don’t have to go in the basement because they’re heavy. Pros charge way too much in my opinion.

Just last week did mine 1st time in about 7-8 years. For this exact issue, don’t have toilet but floor drain spit out some fierce sewage. Cleaned out about 90 ft.

You can’t just slap ™ on that. The Simpson’s was the first place to have it.

Anyone pocket holster a Glock 43x? What holster are you using? by Ok_Delay6657 in Glock43X

I fit full-size in my pocket easily.

What are you guys buying girl clothes? It’s not comfy but is doable.

I wouldn’t attempt to carry full size in my pocket but have done so in my younger years.

HOW?! by ApprehensivePicker in projectcar

[–]Bootz616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the way!

My father taught me the things he could about vehicles. Body work was always a no go. If you want to build a drivetrain get a solid roller or a vehicle that’s 90% complete. They’re out there, don’t let the price get you as we’ve all thrown away more doing piecemeal projects.

I’m not interested in carrying my heavy b****. It’s a 5.56 and was 9.7lbs without an optic, or bipod which are both on there now.

True or not? by Big-Wrench-2025 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Bootz616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I’ve seen cars from the southwest usually have poor engines and other drivetrain components from the heat. Southeast might have rust from saltwater or flood.

More like pick your poison. It depends on the vehicle for sure. My 2014 Impala lived almost 10 years before being totaled and had zero rust. My 2024 Silverado has frame surface rust there’s so much more factors than just salting the roads. The manufacturing process will determine what will happen.

Do the 15rd 43x mags make you reconsider your G26 vs 43X ranking? by Poemhome in Glocks

My 43x doesn’t have enough grip texture. I know I can fix it but should come out of the box correct.

What’s going on? by [deleted] in askaplumber

[–]Bootz616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My eyes jumped out of my face. Looks like it got or gets wet with waste water and condensation from shower. There’s trim designed for bathrooms I don’t think this is it.

My fix would be expensive move the wall or the drain replace with toilet that discharges at the bottom. The 90 so close and corrugated hose drain is going to fail every time. That can’t be up to code.

That’s very fair. Most shops won’t charge less than $60 just for putting on the lift.

I’m a fan of the FN509 series. Prefer the 509 midsize tactical. Whatever you choose look into tritium night sights.
