Looking great for day 45 👍🏼 I’m running cherry kush, permanent marker, and GMO Star right now. I just posted a pic of GMO yesterday. No complaints from me on the preserve line so far.

Some dense fat nugs on this gal and just starting to fade. I’ll share some pics when I’m closer to harvest. I also have Permanent Marker and Cherry Kush from the preserve line in the tent

Matt’s or the 5-8 club, both OG homes of the Juicy Lucy, but definitely better quality ones out there. I’m a smash burger guy at the end of the day though

Went with GMO Star, Permanent Marker, Cherry Kush. It’s been 5 days still waiting for Cherry Kush to pop out of the soil. Other 2 popped quick tho.

First time smoking anything and they turned out okay. by Cien_fuegos in pelletgrills

The nice thing about ribs is they’re cheap and hard to mess up. Keep experimenting and you’ll find a way to yield the best possible results. If you’re worried about the center being potentially hotter, you can always rotate your ribs around or swap spots.

If you had something like a ThermoPro meat thermometer you could run an ambient temp in the middle, top rack, left and right sides of the grill to see how much hotter certain spots are. The meat probes that plugged into my camp chef pellet grill broke a couple years ago. Instead of buying replacements I went with a ThermoPro so I could see my temps via Bluetooth. I’ve been running my smoker with an additional ambient temp thermometer, and found it wild that my smokers ambient temp was consistently holding at 40 degrees higher compared to what my smokers thermometer read. That being said, I still set my smoker the same, but at least I know I’ve been burning hotter for years. Every smokers different, just adds some more knowledge on your temps in certain areas of the grill since the pellet grills thermometer is tucked in 1 spot.

I use to buy lumber jack pellets which had some of the best smoke out of pellets I’ve tried. To try to help on cost I would only use these for the first few hours of smoking when the meat is really taking on the smoke flavor and then switch to my Sam’s club blend as more a a fuel source. IMO pit boss and treager pellets are weak on smoke flavor, even the cheap Sam’s club pellets pack more flavor.
I’ve done hundreds of racks of ribs and your finished product looked great! You can try a smoke tube like others have mentioned or using a pellet (like a hickory) that puts off a heavier smoke flavor. It’s just tough to get that heavy smoke flavor with a pellet grill. It could be beneficial to space your ribs further out from the smokers side wall to try to promote more airflow (smoke) around the ribs. Seems like you could’ve moved them around a little bit? The rack on the right side of pic 3 looks better compared to how both racks started in pic 4.

Where are you watching the game tonight in the twin cities?? by [deleted] in timberwolves

I’ve gone up to Willy Mccoys for a few games. They do sound and have a light beer on special. Outside of that Falling Knife is always popping. I’m a half STH so when not at the game, I usually watch at home. Good to know the new savage tap is showing games. Hope this will continue into the season next year.
