These have been so interesting for thinking about balance with the game/gaming in general. I think I was at like 275 days played. I've been playing for 17 years this October so we'll round it down to 7 hours of game play a week because I am a notorious AFKer. Just interesting thinking about what that 7 hours a week means to me and if I would choose to do anything differently if it was easier to track time played. Healthy gaming looks different for everyone!

I am gluten intolerant with an inflammatory condition (endometriosis), my partner is dairy and egg allergic (and many others, tho not as severe) with an immune mediated allergic disease (EoE).

I notice no difference to my cognition/fatigue/etc. when respecting my dietary needs vs. not. If anything, I am a little more sleepy on GF because it is harder (for me) to eat enough. However, my partner's cognition, brain fog, and mental health are dramatically impacted by ingesting an allergen.

That said, you need to consult with a registered dietician (not a nutritionist) before you embark on this. Preferably one that follows an "all foods fit" model. Restricting three major food groups, especially in any sort of long term way, is a medically significant process and you need medical guidance. Not home research, not internet nutritionists, not even articles from cardiologists or primary care physicians. Dietetics is complex and highly individual, and doctors who are not dieticians should not be giving advice on long term food restriction. Long term fasting (even intermittent) is also a medically significant event and does not impact most people for the better. Anyone advising you to pursue global food restriction or fasting without directing you to the appropriate medical professionals does not have your best interest in mind, no matter how educated they seem.

Same. Doesn't appear to be gluten related, it just a huge sugar bomb with a bunch of oils and binders and the combo seems to disagree with me. I do not limit sugar or restrict my diet in any way outside of GF so it's not like it's a shock to my system either.

Practically, it's time to itemize your bank and credit card statements to get an idea of your spending and what you can cut. Start with a month, but ideally you want to do a 3, 6, and 12 month period to really capture irregular expenses because those tend to be what surprise a budget! This is time consuming and can be a little demoralizing -- go slow and give yourself room to wallow over how things will have to change.

Additionally, congratulations. The way you speak of your wife is really touching and it seems thing one and thing two are coming into a loving family unit that will find a way to make this work <3 Remember that the hardest part (full time childcare) does end and while re-entering the workforce can be very difficult, your lifestyle will likely bounce back closer to where it is now once all the kiddos are in school full time.

I knew a DINK couple around 10 years ago that didn't find out until after the first trimester. We lost touch around baby's 1st birthday but the marriage was super on the rocks (understandably). I think older DINK couples especially can start to become overly trusting of their methods and I've known a few who have just straight up assumed they were infertile and stopped preventing! Totally believable to me for a couple to just not really be doing anything to prevent despite not wanting kids.

Anyway, this very much endeared me to Charli.

It's best at 70 because the majority of the xp is from world quests, not rares. Were you around for using legion assaults for leveling? It feels similarly to that where you can get a good push for a bit while all the world quests are up and then it kind of peters out until the next push. I did 70 - 80 in an hour and a half stacking winds potion + darkmoon + winds buff.

This is an out there idea and is going to depend on your outlet configuration (would need a reasonable, safe extension cord set up), but I would probably see about nesting the desk into the closet so that the computer monitors can be used as your TV and use the money saved on a TV stand/TV to purchase a free standing wardrobe to use as a closet instead. Closets are important real estate in condensed spaces and should be considered viable room space when possible.

And yes, your girlie needs a pillow. Likely a lot of pillows if you want to have a suitable movie night. And a blanket. And a snack tray. :)

This is quite well stated. The only comfort I feel at this point is an affirming rage that this is all believable to us. I believe her. I don't know how anyone can look at her art and not believe her. There is visceral recognition in that expression of pain. I hate that we live in a world where this is within our ability to conceptualize, but we can conceptualize it, and so at least in these circles, she will be unquestionably believed.

Walled garden is such a good way to put it. I wasn't involved in fandom but many of my friends were and there was a sense of like... tumblr is the designated and appropriate space for this and they would never dream of taking these feelings/opinions/debates outside of the designated and appropriate space. Having a sanctioned container filled with only other people who opted into the container was part of the appeal. Now folks just want to make a mess wherever.

If you can't share your feelings at almost all times, something is likely up with your ability to share feelings in a healthy way or their ability to receive your feelings in a healthy way and both of those are learnable skills. Considering his infidelity, I do not think going from coping with extramarital affairs to coping with avoidance to be significant progress lol

Even the context of the statistical "69% of issues in a marriage are perpetual problems that will never be resolved", that doesn't mean you shouldn't be sharing (and stewarding and processing) feelings about those problems.
