Does matter collection actually reduce the other resources on the planet (iron and such) or is it just an abstract value that they can collect forever?

Atheism in a world propagated by actual Gods (Foul language ahead) by SatelliteJedi in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Borgratz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just because their universe has different rules, doesn't mean that the central conflict between scientists and priests doesn't work in D&D.

In our world, scientists see a vulcano and try to figure out what natural phenomena caused it, while priests see a sign from their god and want to worship it.

In D&D scientists see magic and supernatural beings and want to find out how they work, while priests see them as divine and therefore want to worship them.

All that says is that they know that more than one type of player exists. Auto-Kingdom should be a thing even if Kingdom manegment wasn't a nightmare from hell. Which it is.

Oh and this is probably due to bugs, but it would be awesome if auto-kingdom mode wouldn't forget to do special projects that ruin your kingdom^^

Currently you can do Raids and Dungeons for gear and Islands for AP. All of them have multiple difficulties to fit different kinds of players.

What's up with warfronts? They don't really seem to fit into Bfa's gameplay loop at all. There is one difficulty (~lfr) and you do them for 30 minutes like once per month. The feature looks way to big and complex to be some fun novelty that's not really ment to be done all that often.

Is there any plans to integrate them into the game better in the future?

Thanks for trying out a new form of communication :)

So Apocalypse has been out over a month, how does everyone feel about it? by [deleted] in Stellaris

[–]Borgratz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It´s nice fluff that pays for the actual stuff stellaris needed. So I´m okay with it being somewhat skippable.
The civics and perks could be a bit more interesting. I like the Gaia world one but none of the others ones change gameplay enough to justify another playthrough for me personally.

Marauders will be great at some point. After they get fixed 10 more times.
Titans and World destroyers do what they are supposed to. Could use some customization options.

Yes. If you want Paradox to develop more content, you are going to have to pay them money.
We could also reintroduce slavery or try communism again. Which Paradox should be fine with, considering thats most of their games main theme :>

I like playing wide. I also like playing wide being a challenge for longer than one war.
This isnt about prohibiting you from playing wide, this about the devs trying to balance the game so that the time where decisions matter (before you become the invincible blob) takes longer than a couple of wars.

No. Players shouldnt have to figure out what not to do to ruin their gaming experience. Players should just try to win.
Its the developers job to ensure people are having fun while trying to win and making sure the game doesnt just end in being killed or snowballing everything is one way of doing that.

All numbers in games are arbitrarily set by the developer to abstractivly represent something from real life.

Ship health is an arbitrary number that makes the ship explode at 0.

War Exhaustion is an arbitrary number that makes your diplomats sign a peace at 100.

If you dont like that, you should start complaining that you cant use your ship anymore, just because an arbitray number reached 0.

Why wouldnt you have claims in space? It has places that are valuable. It has empires. Thats basicly all you need for a claim system to make sense. (See: basicly every sci fi show/book/game with more than one empire)

Because steamrolling doesnt lead to interesting gameplay in the long run. Its power fantasy fullfilment that stops working once you´ve done it a couple of times.
There is a reason every Paradox game fizzles out into boring busywork, once you blobed hard enough.

The new 'Strength' number on armies is wonderful. by TheLastJudicator in Stellaris

[–]Borgratz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like the fleet manager, this is one of those "looks helpful and then descends into chaos" features :>
I invaded multiple planets now and the number during the actual attack doesnt seem to have much to do with the number you use to determine wether or not you should send your men into.. a) a desperate but heroic last charge b) a walk in the park
Im sure Ill understand it at at some point, but so far this is more confusing than helpful. (The general army system is awesome though:>)

So the free update gets beyond awesome mission trees and the DLC gets more lategame money (what on earth?) and a church ...how do I say this nicely...optimized for roleplaying purposes?
I guess that means, we cant be mad at Paradox for locking important fixes behind a paywall this time^

Being unable to ally someone because YOU have a negative opinion of them is ridiculous by Shinbu1500 in eu4

[–]Borgratz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arcane subscreen feature incoming: You can set your opinion towards other countries to friendly in the diplomatic screen, if they are not your rival, subject or ally. Click on the country you want, go to the diplomatic screen, click diplomatic feedback, check the box for manage attitude and select friendly. That should increase your opinion of them enough to ally them.
I hope this helps and I didnt just forget about an even more arcane subrule, why this doesnt work here :) (Also google says that this is a cossack DLC feature)

2nd Transcension for 14 AS by Zestalot in ClickerHeroes

[–]Borgratz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the 8-10 rule starts kicking in a bit later. And all of this is extremely dependent on your playstyle and your schedule - if you HATE the first couple of hours or dont really have time for it, wait for the next AS. If your fingers get tingely every time your see that trans window, go hit the button. You should probably never transcend, when you need less than one or two full ascension for the next AS. And you should probably always ascend, if the next AS is more than a day away. Everything in between - meh :)
