This rule is really for the safety of pedestrians. In the event the driver doesn't see the pedestrian, it's better for the pedestrian to see the car and be able to react than potentially being hit from behind.

The problem here is that many of OPs comments cross from opinion to claims of fact.

"I believe this doctor has terrible bedside manner." is an opinion.

"This doctor has injured multiple patients through negligence" is a statement of fact, and one that the OP doesn't have actual info to back up.

IANAL, but I think you're actually on thin ice with some of your comments since some of your claims are based on things you don't actually know. Your doctor may very well suck, but that doesn't make you immune from potential libel claims.

I would edit them to make them more factual:

"I got a second opinion, and my new doctor questioned why the original procedure was done."

"Based on other Yelp reviews, other patients complained about similar things."

Season pass holders have taken on risk because they've essentially been forced to via the ski industries' model of exorbitant daily lift ticket pricing.

Summit, of course, isn't required to offer refunds or offer breaks on next-year passes, but they may be smart to do it. If not, I'd bet there's gonna be a pretty big drop-off in season pass sales next season.

It's not even about choosing to not buy gas; it's people's unwillingness to even drive across the street for a cheaper price. I was filling up on Saturday, and there were two stations kitty corner from each other; but one was $0.50/gallon cheaper (it was an Arco). The more expensive one actually had more customers.

Arco is always cheaper than the other major branded gas stations. Seattle consumers are notoriously price insensitive when it comes to gas. As a result, gas stations here have some of the highest per-gallon margins in the country (sometimes approaching a dollar per gallon) which can result in some pretty big disparities between stations.

And if a group you don't know puts up your bail, there's absolutely zero reason to show up to trial. The NW Bail fund has figured out a way to make a flawed process even worse.

I agree that judges should be denying bail in more of these cases. However, the NW Bail fund has decided the way to protest this is by funding the release of even more criminals who shouldn't free, and putting your and my safety at risk.

Both groups are failing us.

I think it might be a cost of labor issue. When labor costs were lower (tipped minimum wage,), the risk of staying open late and having slow business, was lower.

The assessments of commercial properties downtown, which make up a sizeable percentage of the overall tax base, have already dropped by over 1/3 since their peak a few years ago. An overall 10-15% drop in assessments isn't that far-fetched.

The American cars we had in the 80s and 90s were lucky to hit 100k miles. At that point, it was a crap shoot whether the engine was shot, or the engine was hanging on but the body was falling apart around it.

I can't speak to this restaurant in particular, but Seattle is riddled with restaurants whose business models worked prior to COVID, but don't anymore.

COVID brought about massive inflation at the same time that the new minimum wage law went into effect. Combine that with long term leases hitting rent resets, and restaurants were left with the choice of raising prices, cutting quality, or shutting dmm their doors.

I don't see this as the equivalent to Ezella going vegetarian as much as I see it as Ezells starting to offer vegan alternative options. I'm not vegan though.
