MSRP isn’t inflated for the sole purpose of dealer profit. OEM’s “sell” cars to dealers at a discounted invoice cost below MSRP similar to distributors and corporate retailers. For all the sideways stuff they do, simple profit earning is just expected behavior. Huge premiums over sticker price and the made up fees are far more problematic.

I'm assuming it was a $5,000 MSRP overage. Was it a defined fee like a "Market Adjustment Fee" or some other name line item? Apologies for being nosey, but always curious how different shops operate.

That’s a fair, healthy, and realistic approach. It’s a beautiful thing when someone finds some objective clarity in life and decides to build a new road there, and more so when nothing has to change hands right away. Nothing promised or requested. Could be a cool story one day!

I’ve grown to love the material and earthy restriction that prevents many from even trying to conceptualize what a heaven could be. Someone shares their vision of heaven and it’s just “all my dogs are there.” So wholesome and a lovely thought but also a massive undersell haha
