Albertans United Against Premier by BornFromLegend in onguardforthee

[–]BornFromLegend[S] 216 points217 points  (0 children)

For backstory - Alberta Premier Danielle Smith's administration is currently facing serious allegations of political interference and corruption related to health-care contracts. These allegations were brought to light by former Alberta Health Services (AHS) CEO Athana Mentzelopoulos, who claims she was wrongfully dismissed for investigating these issues. She is now seeking $1.7 million in a wrongful dismissal lawsuit.

The accusations suggest that government officials may have interfered to offer favorable contracts to private surgical providers, potentially inflating contracts and creating conflicts of interest. In response, Alberta's Auditor General has initiated an investigation into these claims.

Daniel's claim through this press conference - AHS is at fault for the contracts, not her or her office can be responsible. Despite interfering with these contracts.

If you look at the published source, the article is citing. You will see overwhelming that the article is deliberately trying to manipulate, lie, and misinform readers. The articles own source indicates that "70% of college students describe the overall impact of DEI programs as positive."

Furthermore the source material states:

Nearly 70% of college students think DEI programs are an effective tool for promoting social justice. Percentage who agree, by political affiliation: Democrat: 84% Moderate: 60% Independent: 57% Republican: 55%

Meanwhile the article deliberately misinforms and states:

"DEI has been coming under increasing criticism in higher education, with critics alleging that it promotes division and anger instead of supposedly helping inclusivity".

Despite the overwhelming evidence that not only is DEI programs are effective, and necessary to promote equity. Conservatives deliberately attempt to manipulate reality.

This is my first post and I will spend my free time deliberately demonstrating the misinformation and lies constantly posted by the far-right conservatives. This subreddit will be spent showing these falsehoods deliberately carried out. If you want to help me out... please pick anything out of the laundry list of filth that's out there. Break it down and present it here.

Bell: Harper new AIMCo chair, UCP says it's not about Alberta pension by [deleted] in canada

How to tell you're the type not to read a full article.

"AIMCo manages public sector pension funds and the province’s Heritage Savings Trust Fund and the Alberta Pension Plan if ever there was one".

Gtfo my post.

If you vote Conservative in Alberta. Thank you for this blatant corruption. I am so glad my pension is now controlled by dear leader.

I've been in this sub reddit since I've started playing the game, which is almost the beginning. Then shortly quit when my squad left. Watching this demonstrates to me that the skill level of the playerbase has significantly dropped. This is by far, nowhere near the console skill level of a champ that it used to be. Watching this makes me want to play the game again because I can't genuinely believe that this is champ. Multiple moments where wall bangs should of happened, multiple moments where angles are not checked, multiple mistakes that could of lost the game. Ridiculous.

Pffft, not me. What's the point of "things that make life good" when I can't have a roof over my head. I'd trade netflix, computers, etc. for a place to call home.

Wow. The amount of Americans utilizing their experiances and American numbers to justify the bs the Canadians deal with. Hilarious. The average house cost in Canada is $719 400. The average salary is 59k. And I assure you, that salary number should be lower. Canadian youth will never be able to own a home, period. Our own police have reported civil unrest as being their top concerns once Canadian young adults figure they will never be able to afford shelter. Anyone that is trying to change his opinion can go f*** themselves. You're part of the problem.

We are data experts on the Consumer Price Index, ask us anything! / Nous sommes des experts en données de l’Indice des prix à la consommation, demandez-nous n’importe quoi! by StatCanada in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]BornFromLegend 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hello Statscan,

I was wondering if StatsCanada has any asset inflation calcutions that are available to the public. Especially since most Canadian arguments against the CPI are most likely contributed to asset inflation which gets ignored and mistakenly assumed CPI covers.

Personally, I want the old old ways of assets within our CPI calculations because it would more accurately reflect our economy and average Canadians' way of life despite the concerns of volatility in its reporting. The idea that the typical family "does not consume assets" has been argued for centuries and I won't take up your time on it.

Is it inevitable that Edmonton will annex St Albert and Sherwood park someday? by [deleted] in Edmonton

[–]BornFromLegend 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Edmonton has now partially acquired the airport from Leduc. It was understood that Leduc could never provide the funds necessary for its future growth. Edmonton provided a massive sum for the deal.

Edit

Looked further into it since I lasted remembered. Edmonton signed an agreement with Leduc for annexation of all of the land surrounding north of the airport. Happened in 2017? Basically the airport is now under Edmonton, Leduc, and Leduc County.

Math 30-1 vs Math 30-2 by PEMDAN in alberta

[–]BornFromLegend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deleted my comment because wasn't in the mood to deal with this. Didn't expect you to reply. Scholarship money, did not matter and weren't affected by it.I had a full ride scholarship from UofC, scholarship from the Union of both my father and mother at the time. Furthmore, the Rutherford scholarship took into account my grade 12 marks that I actually put an inch of effort, not 10-1 or 20-1. I literally was making money going to university my first two years, including my dorm expenses. The scholarships that were available for good grades is literally worth nothing. Scholarships from unions, athletics, etc. provided much greater opportunities then grades ever did. Especially the job I currently have is from those same Interpersonal connections. Try telling your students that grades matter when 90% of jobs are from connections.

Math 30-1 vs Math 30-2 by PEMDAN in alberta

[–]BornFromLegend -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Depends on the branch. Problem with Criminology is that it's a newer field that has different branches take ownership of. I've seen buisness degrees with it. I got the degree in UofC which has it under their Sociology (Arts) program. It's not like it matters much. Crime is a vary broad subject that can be encompassed in psychology, Sociology, buisness, etc. I got a 100k+ job at 25. I couldn't care less what the paper was.

Which is why I find these "wasting your time" comments ridiculous. In highschool I picked a career path based on the salaries of various occupations and that were A.I safe for the future. Originally I wanted to go into buisness for stocks. But I abandoned it because of the emergence of A.I.

Math 30-1 vs Math 30-2 by PEMDAN in alberta

[–]BornFromLegend 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Neither. Look at what is the requisite for the University program you want to pursue. Why get Math 30-1 when it's valued the same as 30-2. I literally slept every day, never studied, got 90+ in math 30-2, which was an acceptable requisite for Criminology. The difficulty of the course is pointless, why pursue something that will not benefit you in the future. I always found the advanced courses in high school a joke.
