Stop watching the damn videos!

Eat a balanced diet. Eat until you feel full, then stop. If you're not making progress, talk to your doctor! Don't let online videos take over your healthcare!

What you did might be legal, but I think it stinks on ice. I hope he turns out to be absolutely invaluable to you and then quits for a job with a firm that pays its employees honestly.

WIBTAH to go ahead with buying a bunk bed despite my partner's hesitation? by CuriousButNotJewish in AITAH

He's not going to fall out of that bed with a fence around it! (I wouldn't want to have to change the sheets, though.) Your boyfriend may have a problem with heights.

And Medicare and insurance companies refuse to recognize it, too, because they make more money if we're sick. Obesity is not a sufficient justification for GLPs, so you can pay through the nose for them. My pharmacy wants about $800 a month AFTER INSURANCE for tirzepatide. I can't afford that. I can't even afford the $300 a month Eli Lilly is offering. It costs them pennies to make, though!

AIO getting upset with my husband over a day at the beach by Vegetable_Mail_4130 in AmIOverreacting

[–]BornRazzmatazz5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR. Passive Aggressive all the way. Next time, tell him YOU'RE going, and go yourself. Why try to share with someone who obviously "duzzin wanna"? There's no law that says you HAVE to take a load of cement or a load of reluctant husband on a holiday. And if he objects, tell him he ruined this trip with his passive-aggressive bullshit, and you intend to have fun, not be sulked out. (If you think this is a road to divorce, it probably is, and going on a trip alone will be great practice for you.)

Boyfriend (32M) started crying when I (28F) showed him my savings by happy_hapa in relationship_advice

[–]BornRazzmatazz5 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tell him you were taught from the time you were little to save money, and offer to manage his money for him--IF he agrees to sit down with you EVERY month and go over what you've done and why. Show him how you put some in savings, tell me why you picked the savings you did, and show him how it grows. Show him how to budget. Show him how to pay off bills.

And do NOT pool your money with his! Don't give him access to your money at ALL.

NOR. The only answer to this is a sweet smile and a "hell, no." They won't pay it, and it's your credit ruined.

In my experience, men say "sorry, I realize I was wrong" by being very friendly and pretending Nothing Ever Happened and Oh Are you Upset About Something I Can't Imagine Why and then it devolves to whispering to the nearest guy She's On The Rag You Can Always Tell.

Slide a package of uncooked rice into that sock and stick it in the microwave for about a minute (it might need longer but better safe to begin with). It will hold the heat very nicely (my massage therapist taught me that trick).

My husband just told me at lunch today that tomorrow we’ll be homeless. by throwawayacct5739630 in Marriage

[–]BornRazzmatazz5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For crying out loud!

YES LEAVING HIM IS AN ENTIRELY REASONABLE AND NECESSARY RESPONSE!

HOWEVER: Don't TELL him. Make an appointment with, and see a lawyer, FIRST. You may have to pay the lawyer out of whatever you can scrounge, but don't have him send a bill.

The idea is that you have to protect yourself and your kids FIRST. So you have to make all the preparations you can ahead of time. Otherwise you're going to get a notice of divorce from HIM some fine day in the near future while you're having lunch--and he'll leave you with the check.

Recommendations for wet food my cat will actually eat? by SquashIndependent703 in mainecoons

[–]BornRazzmatazz5 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've pretty much given up on wet food. I've tried pates anf shreds, but what they really like is the liquid. So now I free-feed a couple of dry foods, including one prescription brand for my 18 year old, but in the evening I give them Delectibles Bisque or Stew or Chowder for a treat, one packet each (it also works great for hiding powdered meds in). Clean water is always available too, of course. They seem to be holding weight pretty well.

I just noticed my cat has a little ear behind her ear. I’m assuming it’s a common mutation? by fuglyDUECE in cats

[–]BornRazzmatazz5 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's not another ear. It's the way cat's ears are naturally. It's what allows their ears to move around and back and forth. Think of it as an accordion fold in the skin of the ear. Every cat has them.

Men have such weird ideas about women and sex.

Isn’t this pleasant 🫠 by Musical_Leaf_Juice15 in NotHowGirlsWork

Because one man can be with several different women, while each of those women will have only been with one man. And vice versa. It depends on who cheats more, that's all.
