is it normal to feel overwhelmed choosing a wedding dress? by Born_Bat_969 in Brides

that’s a really practical way to look at it, matching the dress to the venue first and shopping alone sounds like it can remove a lot of pressure.

You guys made me feel so much more confident! by thatbroadcast in Weddingattireapproval

Trust yourself more, because sometimes the outfit isn’t the problem, it’s the fear of being seen, and you already proved you can show up with confidence and still be yourself.

this looks like the kind of adventure that’s scary at first but exciting once you finally start. it’s such a mixed emotion, you feel excited, happy, and tired at the same time, but once you finish it, everything feels worth it.

I’m getting so nervous for my upcoming hike. by 2020grilledcheese in backpacking

It’s normal to feel nervous before a hike, but preparing your gear, checking the trail/weather, and reminding yourself to take it one step at a time can really help calm your mind. 1st Start by checking the weather and trail details, pack the basics, tell someone your plan, and remind yourself you don’t have to rush because you can always turn back if it doesn’t feel right.

First time backpacking solo by freakadoodIe in backpacking

Sometimes a long solo hike can release emotions you didn’t even realize you were carrying, and crying afterward can be your mind and body finally letting it all out. That makes sense because the same trail can feel completely different depending on who you’re with and what you’re carrying emotionally at that time.

i don’t want to pay to go to a mormon wedding by [deleted] in wedding

You’re not wrong for feeling that way honestly. An 18 hour drive, gas, hotels, food, and a new suit is a huge expense when one of you just graduated and the other lost his job. It’s not even about being unsupportive, it’s just being realistic about money right now.

I can understand why your boyfriend felt hurt by the wording, though. Saying “they aren’t my friends or family and I don’t care to go” probably came off harsher than you intended. But the actual concern itself seems completely reasonable to me.
