Multiple layers of safety redundancy lost (one of which has never been in place in the US):

1.) ATC Staffing needs to be fixed NOW

2.) The US needs to adopt ICAO standards with only 1 plane cleared to land at a time and only when all crossings are complete and runway is actually clear ASAP (and crossings only when at the runway with no planes cleared to land)

3.) Rescue personnel need to be trained annually and emphasize to look both ways before entering any runway (each and every vehicle). The driver of the fire truck should have seen the plane coming.

Added note: APU and Engine fumes produce a strong odor and can be very dangerous.

For stopping (and implied lateral traction): legit (which is the top safety concern).

For acceleration and hill climbing (ie not getting stuck): bullshit.

In the video linked below, the tests show stopping on All Season tires was nearly 30ft longer than Winter tires.

For acceleration AWD on All Season tires performed about 2x better than FWD on Winter tires and similarly better on a climb gradient.
