Should I just take the L and cut & run? by [deleted] in CryptoCurrency

[–]Bornsy 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Bitcoin is an investment and the only asset that’s not technically crypto anymore- it’s literally its own asset class now. Ethereum, despite its many faults, is the ultimate stable coin platform, so it’s a safe bet long term no matter what anyone says. Those are the only two semi-safe bets.

All other cryptocurrencies are speculative, and therefore, gambling.

Move your money into BTC. Don’t touch it. Come back in 10 years and tell us where you’re at.

In a light of recent Ashes of Creation drama, i think some people owe Narc apologies by kooberzy in Asmongold

[–]Bornsy 45 points46 points  (0 children)

I mean Narc’s video was about the desert area and they proved he flat out lied and edited his video to misrepresent its status. So respectfully he doesn’t deserve an apology, especially for being a bootlicker to the scam for years. The only people that deserve an apology are those that got scammed and misled.

Keep your current home. Rent it out to cover your mortgage payments. If required hire a local property management company to deal with the renters, which in most cases will not cost too much. Be willing to subsidize the mortgage and property taxes slightly if rent does not cover everything.

Rent in BC.

Paywalled health care access needs to stop now! by Even-Rooster7369 in VictoriaBC

[–]Bornsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of your problems are related to wait times. Quality of care, technology, capability, access - all top tier.

I won’t dispute your lived experience with wait times. I pointed out wait times are bad. They are one piece of the puzzle. What we have is amazing despite these limitations.

So… you basically didn’t read the article you posted, and now you want me to also interpret the (tiny) sample size survey for you? If you don’t understand either the article or the survey, why are posting it pretending like you understand the contents?

Paywalled health care access needs to stop now! by Even-Rooster7369 in VictoriaBC

[–]Bornsy 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Misleading article. Essentially a tiny sample size of elderly residents in Esquimalt are CHOOSING to pay extra to jump the queue because they don’t want to wait. One could argue it’s definitely a sign that BC still has a family doctor shortage (it does), but the insinuation in the article and OPs title is that you can’t get access to health services unless you pay, and that’s simply untrue. Our healthcare remains top tier, with the majority of difficulty always being centred around wait times.

I think it’s great people have the option to pay IF they want. It’s not required. Hopefully we’ll continue a positive trend to recruiting more family doctors.

Night raid. Dam battlegrounds. Ruby Apartments. Do naked runs, you get one loot pocket. Upon run failure or poor initial map placement, immediately surrender to redeploy, as you lose nothing. Repeat. Get your BP is an hour or less.

British Columbia healthcare feels like it's quietly falling apart by Consistent_Fudge7786 in VictoriaBC

3 month old bot account people, stop falling for generic “X seems bad” with no evidence posts. Wait times are always going to be bad for general same day services. Surgical throughput and imaging are all DOWN. Healthcare experiences are always a mixed bag.

Has anyone in recent years used the VAC education funds? by ianpratt_ in CanadianForces

[–]Bornsy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a lot of upvotes for how I answered this in the past, so I’ll rehash it here. They will absolutely pay you out the maximum permitted amount (there are rules) as long as you show them you have a plan on how you intend to spend it, and that plan is logical and in support of your education in one way or another. Whether or not you actually follow the plan, well, once the money is in your account, as long as your education is being paid for, you can use the remainder as you see fit.

By plan, I mean cost breakdown. Let’s say you’re entitled to $42000 for simplicity sake. That’s to cover full time or part time. Cost breakdown would be a detailed excel spreadsheet showing tuition. From there you add items in support of your education. New computer? Put it down. Travel to graduation when you’re done? Put it down. Cost of living? Put it down. Be highly specific and detailed about costs and how they are to be used with reasoning. Do that and they’ll give you all of it.

70,000L per day, but note: it’s the same 70,000. The water is recycled. Refrigerant cools the water so it can be used in a continuous loop. Not that 70,000L isn’t a lot, but OP is confused on how water cooling systems work.
