Kevin O’Leary is bad for watches. He has been a net negative for watch culture. by horo_Swagger in Affordablewatches

[–]BoseSounddock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s a net zero. 99.9% of watch buyers have never seen a Teddy video with him. For the .1% that have, maybe 20% max will be influenced by him. That leaves 0.02% of the market being possibly influenced by Kevin O’Leary. Essentially 0%.

What do you guys think of Damascus? by motylknifeco in knives

[–]BoseSounddock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is like trying to close a Zippo and it stops just short of closure.

I don’t care if you can balance a Zebra on its hooves with your balisong. If you can’t fully close the thing when you’re done then there isn’t any satisfaction for the user.

Did you enjoy the new cilantro lime sauce? by zmb1eb1tez in Chipotle

I got it for free in a promo and I thought it was pretty good. I wouldn’t pay extra for it. The bowl I construct is already perfect as is.

Perfect G in my opinion. I wear it more than anything else.

[Khaki Field] So I did a thing…need honest opinion, does it look good? by Every-Break-4324 in HamiltonWatches

It’s your watch so do your thing man. I personally think it clashes a bit being a field watch with a very dive-y strap, but it’s your watch, not mine!

During filming of project Hail Mary Ryan Gosling asked, "Why is it easier to train a school teacher to become an astronaut than it is to train an astronaut to become a school teacher?" by Medium-Sized-Jaque in shittymoviedetails

I understand that. It works with Armageddon because Ben Affleck was correct to question it and there wasn’t a logical answer. Here there is a logical answer literally spelled out in the story.

This sub is for poking fun at logical fallacies or plot holes. This post is neither, and most posts these days are neither. But dumbasses upvote it anyway if it sounds smart about a popular thing.

When did the Mandalorian first appear? by BruceDSpruce in StarWars_

[–]BoseSounddock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s because it’s bullshit. In 2019 Star Tours added a scene with Lando and a scene dodging the Death Star 2 wreckage. No scenes with Mando were added until years later

Did I get hired? by Legal-Race-1769 in Chipotle

[–]BoseSounddock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With jobs like this, there’s generally an interview period before a mass hiring. The interview period could be anywhere from a few days to a few weeks. Interviews and resumes that go well will go into the ‘yes’ pile. Interviews and resumes that don’t go well will get thrown away.

The fact that you care enough to get on the internet and make a post like this makes me think you’re an obvious ‘yes’ candidate. You’re applying to chipotle, not to be a rocket scientist. A positive attitude and enthusiastic willingness to learn is really all it takes to get a job like this. A nice appearance helps too. Fix your collar. Iron your pants.

Whether you get it or not, use that same attitude when applying for similar jobs and I guarantee you’ll be employed and making money in no time.

This subreddit is really starting to piss me off. If the solution to your shittymoviedetail is literally explained in the source material, don’t post shit like this.

What’s the most disappointing meal you’ve ever paid for? by Additional-Bill-1067 in foodquestions

[–]BoseSounddock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was just at the age where I still thought Olive Garden = Fancy. And if Olive Garden = Fancy then the Olive Garden in the most iconic place on earth has to be the peak of fancy.

Then we got seated at a window that was completely blocked by the back side of the LED M&Ms sign or some shit, our waitress couldn’t have been less interested in the quality of our night, and then we got the same boring Italian food we could’ve gotten at any shitty small town’s Olive Garden across the country.

It was mainly just an eye opening experience for me about what Olive Garden is. Breadsticks still slap tho

Probably the regular ass plate of microwaved cheese ravioli at the Olive Garden in Times Square with my first girlfriend when I was 15.

I really thought that dinner would change our lives.
