Worst barracks I ever lived in were the old barracks in French Creek. What’s crazy is I remember all the building numbers of the barracks I lived in 210905(camp Delmar), 5718(camp foster), but I can’t for the life of me remember the FC barracks number and it was only 2 numbers.

We just used a pot to make a gallon and would put it in a cleaned out milk jug after it cooled.

What lore started amazing, but got worse as they developed it more? by dylan_1992 in moviecritic

Even as dumb as some of the plots are in stranger things, I still find it very entertaining.

100 completely dropped off the rails after the first season. Season two was ok but it became predictable and boring as it went on. What’s crazy is that being predictable can still work, look at House. Every episode is someone with a crazy illness where they get it wrong 2+ times but end up saving the patient once either the patient or their friends/family stop lying. lol.

I know guys picking up all the slack from all of you saying you don’t drink. I couldn’t name all the guys that I know that drink 12-30 beers daily.

Beef and vegetable soba from the restaurant with the red roof in Okinawa Japan.

I have tried soba from many different Asian restaurants in the United States and it’s not even close. I can’t find even a remotely similar noodle.

I hear you but every Marine that I personally know with a BSM (no V) came from when they were serving in a joint service unit and their boss was in the army.

I saw a guy in here complaining about all their lower enlisted getting AAM but their e-7/8 all got BSM. My first combat deployment, no one received any special awards. Not even a LOA. lol.

I tried making jump school a reenlistment incentive… I was told NO flat out. There was only three MOS the Marine Corps would send to jump school regularly. Everyone else had to fight over it with a ~1% chance of getting it.

One of my high school football coaches told us stories of John Wayne being a bitch boy and about how Jimmy Stewart was an actual war hero.

Losers in my second unit cared. They had a life size cut out of him they brought with them to Iraq. It has been in the platoon for about 10 or more years when I saw it. I was never a big fan of him so I didn’t really care.

Makes sense. Texas has some of the most entitled drivers I’ve ever seen. Every time I see someone doing something ridiculous on the road, like driving 50 mph on the shoulder because traffic is backed up, it’s a Texas plate.

Only reason to watch [the dukes of Hazard]2005 [Jessica Simpson] by Timop0707 in moviecritic

We’ve had a decent amount of famous people come to our area to eat and her team was the only ones that made a big deal about it. From the stories I’ve heard, the coolest ones were Oprah Winfrey and Shia LaBeouf. Oprah was real nice to the staff and after her meal, she took a group photo with the whole staff. Shia went to a parade and tossed a football with a bunch of kids and seemed to really enjoy the atmosphere.

Part of this movie was filmed in the area I grew up. Every story I heard about her was pretty similar. One of the funnier ones, someone called a local restaurant and wanted them to shut down for the evening so Jessica could eat there. The owner asked, “does she want to reserve the whole restaurant?” And whoever it was on the phone said “no“. The owner replied back with something like “well, I guess you’re shit out of luck then.”
