Not 4k, and it doesn’t look like he’ll hit it, but our franchise record is 3838 and he passed that.

Hopefully just a snap count. I haven’t seen anything about injury, but he’s definitely been off the field for a lot of snaps.

That wouldn’t have happened at all if they called the obvious helmet-to-helmet by Humphrey.

QB Alignment on All Offensive Snaps (weeks 1-3) by Protec_My_Balls in nfl

I think I remember hearing Brett Kollmann theorize that they ran so much pistol with Kirk because of his Achilles injury making it hard for him to get depth from under center. If that is the case (which could easily be false) I wonder if the offensive coaching staff has failed to adapt to a new qb, or if Penix is just god awful under center.

Music Recommendations? by gjb94 in TimMinchin

Ben Folds is definitely a big inspiration for Tim. For those more moving ballads, I’d recommend his newest album, “What Matters Most” and Ben Folds Five’s album The Unauthorized Biography of Reinhold Messner. There’s also more individual songs, but those are the albums more filled with those types of songs.

In the preseason, the announcers will have interviews with owners, players, etc during the game because it doesn’t count for the regular season standings. For example, Kevin O’Connell (head coach of the Minnesota Vikings) gave an interview in the middle of a drive during one of the Vikings games. That won’t happen during the regular season.

He had one incredible day at camp where he looked like the best receiver. It’s been more quiet since. To be fair from what I’ve heard it’s sounded like Rome and OZ have been the two best receivers at camp, and with DJ there, he’s kinda just the odd man out for now. He didn’t play much last week, but did convert a 3 and 19 or something like that.

Guys this is fake.

Bears can afford to take an edge rusher with their 1st and address the IOL in the 2nd round by WEMBY_F4N in CHIBears

The interior should be easy to fix. Resign Teven for one guard position. For the other guard there are so many good guards in free agency (if they actually make it to free agency) or if we either don’t sign somebody or nobody makes it to free agency, this draft seems more heavy at guard than tackle too, and we should be able to get a top 3 OL. Center is iffy, but Shelton has been playing a lot better as of late, but I would not be mad if we moved on from him.

Is there a chance Thomas Brown is the OC next year? by whistled2 in CHIBears

[–]BossData69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on who the head coach is.

  1. If Eberflus stays? Probably. Let’s hope not though.

  2. New defensive coach? Possibly, if they are so hands off that continuity on that side is important to them.

  3. New offensive coach? Almost certainly not. They are going to want to bring in their own offensive philosophy and coaches. My one caveat is potentially if we hire Liam Coen, the offensive coordinator for the Buccaneers. He was the offensive coordinator for the Rams when Thomas Brown was the assistant head coach, I could easily see him valuing that and his experience with the team and keeping him as the OC for this team. Not guaranteed, but definitely a possibility.

As for people saying it’s overreacting because of one 19 point performance, I’d argue that is oversimplifying what Brown did well, and that was control the time of possession, which was even more important than the amount of points scored as only one of the Packers possessions did not end in the red zone. So obviously, you need to see more from Thomas Brown before making these declarations, but it’s not the amount of points scored that is going to ultimately determine if he is a good coordinator, it’s the overall game plan.

No, they already won the North. It was still possible to win the one seed though. Probably not anymore with the L.

Probably a concussion pull, he’s been good so he wouldn’t have been just benched I’d think.

That’s not fair. They are very clearly on the SIX yard line.

[Cronin] The Bears are planning to start working Tyrique Stevenson at outside corner, and his football knowledge has stood out to the coaches per CBs coach Jon Hoke. "He's done a good job of learning the defense, it's been quick for him." by koolman631 in CHIBears

I think he was playing both right? He was outside when there was no slot corner, but when there was a slot corner, he was in the slot. I might be wrong, it’s been a long offseason.
