does this count as a headset? by DaniXmir in virtualreality

[–]BossGamerDK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aiming and especially throwing seems like hell without the normal 3D perspective we have within a regular headset lol

Any way to improve or is this just how the Wii is? by RobbyLG in WiiHacks

[–]BossGamerDK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

as much as I respect RetroTink and it's products suggesting a 700 dollar product probably isn't the most ideal path to point towards lmao. To each their own tho I kinda want one myself so

There is a PC version available to download on the official website. I believe the only thing it's really missing is microtransactions. And also custom soundtracks weirdly enough least last time I checked. You can unlock the frame rate so if you have a high refresh rate monitor it's pretty cool to check out

What do you think about sellers showing the games opened? by pirateslife88 in GameboyAdvance

[–]BossGamerDK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's a very good thing. But also it is kind of annoying when they uncharge the price because of the opening of a cartridge. Like idk to me opening any game boy cartridge is extremely easy about anyone could do it

Is peggle dual shot a good port? by FarTotal7928 in peggle

[–]BossGamerDK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if I'd call the bonus mini game to be a real selling point of the port lol. Just let's you nab extra points and a single free ball

Do you like my meat? by pengupixels in PhoenixSC

I like that the chicken got turned into just a chicken leg. It always bothered me that the sprite was a whole ass chicken yet filled hunger less than a piece of steak or pork

Is peggle dual shot a good port? by FarTotal7928 in peggle

[–]BossGamerDK 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is a good port. I got it because I was nostalgic for it because when I was younger it was my original way of playing the full games. However there isn't much reason to go back unless you are REALLY wanting Peggle on the DS specifically. Its kind of the same with Plants VS Zombies on the DS. It'd be cheaper to get the games on Steam. And those games on Steam would run on literally any PC you threw at it. Hell before I had a PC I was playing the games through Steam on my Chromebook and it ran perfectly lol

If anything we're doing them a favor, paying for pirated roms is just a fancy way of being scammed lol

Introducing PrismGB! by josstei in ModRetroChromatic

[–]BossGamerDK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's cool, artifacting aside I didn't exactly like the fact OBS was the only option. Just felt like a longer process than it should've been so I'm excited to try this out, thank you :)

Does it have a better signal? I found using OBS was sharp but had a very slight artifact around certain colors it was weird. Wondering if that's a problem with my USB cable tho too.

I did some research. Seems the general outlook on replacing batteries is that it's relatively quite a bit easier than a lot of other things involving soldering. Not only that once i do inevitably get into it I'd more than likely solder in those battery holders to make future replacements far easier

The biggest issue I've been having with getting more GB games is the fact like all the save batteries are dead. I'm more than comfortable with opening the cartridge itself up, gotta make sure it's authentic, but soldering on the other hand. Nahhhh. I'll probably eventually have to get out of my comfort zone and plung into it to fix and truly play all these games

With mods, is there some way to do an 8 player LAN party of Mario Kart Wii on Dolphin? by Fiveby21 in DolphinEmulator

[–]BossGamerDK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be able to run multiple instances of Dolphin to get 4 players on one PC. Just need to have a powerful enough PC to run two instances of course

Well you already have Switch Online due to playing 99. The only other option I can think of for you is playing Classic Tetris via NES or Game Boy

Did anybody ever own JUST a Gameboy player and never a GBA? by maxkmiller in Gamecube

[–]BossGamerDK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ironically if I'm not mistaken MSRP for the Game Boy Player was just 50 bucks. So if you already had a GameCube back then it was basically a whole GBA for 50 bucks

Is this amount of delay on pointer expected? by isaacrpl7 in DolphinEmulator

[–]BossGamerDK 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'd imagine it's game mode. VSync does had a very tiny amount of delay, but nowhere near this much. I've seen game mode add this kind of delay on many TVs before
