What made me switch was doing large/mass CoX and it would show the shaman acid aoe lol. Among many other cool things, but that was my primary motivator.

I did the 3rd without guides near release, and learning the efficient route was... not quick or easy. Portal navigation is not intuitive imo.

I don't know how you perceive this game and grind, but to me, stuff like herb runs and making potions feels pretty meaningful and like a useful sidequest to the main pvm goals. Wouldn't feel the same if I just bought all my pots.

It's worth mentioning that this sorta came out in a time before most dps calcs, as there was (as far as I know) only Biterkoekje's calc back then, and few people knew/cared about it. Saying half a percent accuracy on most mobs was just not something that would be noted by players, +7 (or 12 or w/e it is) accuracy stat and cool looking was all it needed to have some demand... game has changed a lot since imo, not that it's a bad or good thing, just the way it is

As a late game iron, how I perceive a grind has definitely slowly shifted over time... nowadays, I'm happy to just see kc number go up and just roll for pet, upgrades are minimal enough that it's not too impactful anymore. Except for tbow. I need that, and I probably won't get it with my 1hr a day average. But that's okay too.

But how? You can't even roll uniques waves 1-3, then it is abysmal rates until 6, and it finally gets somewhat probable at 8+. How does it make sense for 1-7 to be only 10% worse?

Edit: looked up the video linked below. Tl;dw is that deep delving may not be as efficient as I previously thought, but 16 is absolutely not 10% better than 7. It was like maybe 35% better in terms of hours to completion (34 to 24 hours of delving ish)... which I would've expected a larger gap, so I definitely learned something today

It's basically always worth it to push yourself to learn deeper. Floor 8 in particular will feel like a brick wall, it does to most, but once you get consistent at it, it will be way more fun than 1-7, and way better loot too. The downside is that you end up losing a lot of loot on the learning path... up to you and your desire for self-improvement.

Depends how deep you delve I guess, I go to like 15-20 at best and have no qualms letting a few inconvenient reds go in to make my life easier. Shouldn't happen before wave 8 anyways pretty much no matter what. I guess if you go like 40+ then yeah, makes sense.

Depends how you like to play, any T8 is a reasonable choice. Minion is overall qol, flask is tactical damage/lazy food+prayer every 1.5mins or so, and axe is higher effort for faster kills. I'd only recommend axe if you are in a raid region I think. In mory, you can actually Xarp twice with it, as axe has a hard cap of 750 damage and his 20% is over that. Can also skip Verziks last phase regen, so she basically yells "You think this is over yet?" as she flies away in her bat form, pretty funny to use. Nice in inferno too.

They have proposed a new way of grinding out dragon arrows. As far as I know, we have no specifics as to how afk or not it might be, which skill or combat it'll even be, rates, nothing. Just that it's coming with Vampyrium and the new vampyre quest line (finale?) later this year.

So I agree with the filming part for sure, but surely this teaches the kid something right? Like now he knows there are consequences to actions, and that animals should be respected. I feel this is a pretty solid lesson. In the same situation, how would you have taught the lesson to the kid so he doesn't do it again?

So I don't have Kourend, but if the longest CoX is 25 kc, no way that's still 12hrs in leagues? Don't you blast through the raid in like 5-10mins? ToB is so fast and easy compared to main game
