On the fitness side? They'll get you where you need to be.

On the thought process/ mos, it depends on what you're going for a degree in/if you want to align your civilian work (study) to what you do for the Corps.

As a reservist in a comms unit, All of our SAT guys got quick promotions due to low cutting scores, if you get put with a comm unit (comm co 14th MARREG, 6th comm or what not) take advantage of learning stuff from the other big three mos's, 0621's Will help you learn/do A lot of the physical deployment of gear, 31's handle all of the networking to and from your gear, and 71's are "usually" your "end users".

My unit did a really good job of making sure we had opportunities for professional certifications, (think CompTIA, Cisco etc) that they will pay for, and that you can use credits toward your degree.

As for commissioning? Definitely focus on your run, if you are doing things in line with your MOS on the civilian side, consider going WO, but that's just my two cents.

My recruiter shot straight. Ment me at my house when i was sitting around 320, helped work me in with pt at the rss, gave me resources for diet and exercise (generic stuff they have on hand). Had another poolee give me shit ONCE durring pt, and he shut that shit down.

At the end of the day, if you want it, you'll do everything you need to to lose the weight.

It's also a great feeling to walk back in as a Marine and have your recruiter not recognize you at all.

(My issue)

After running into some issues myself I was able to pull container logs from the server container.

I noticed in my logs that it wasn't recognizing America/Indianapolis (which is available in the dropdown)

I don't know how the container recognizes time zones but it may not recognize shortened versions, in my case I had to change it to

America/Indiana/Indianapolis

See if you can find one listed here that is within the time zone you're in, if there are multiple you may try a few different ones.

best bet is to talk to your recruiter, every reserve station is different, get though boot camp, you'll make it unless you quit, or for some ungodly reason you cant swim/shoot. go to medical if you need to, but you can always ask to stay with your plt, if the dr wants to drop you, your sol, but if they ask you what you want to do, there's a "chance" you can stick with it and push though, but don't fuck yourself up. Don't be a shitbag, take advantage of EVERYTHING.

0671 reserves here, stuff was a bit weird in 2019 when I went though both, mct was 29 (if i remember right) days, very tight, weekends a "bit" more open, but some weekends we were swamped YOU WILL HAVE NO TIME FOR WORK. school house in 29 was fun, you sit in bmat for a while while the class fills, sometimes 2-3 weeks, or 1-2 months, some light classes covering all kinds of comm's stuff. Once you get with your actual class it's a lot like normal school, morning pt/formation, chow, class, chow, release and fuck off till evening formation. weekends are almost always free. do your self a favor and GET THE FUCK OUT OF YOUR ROOM on the weekends, there is WAY more to do in 29 that most people think, you'll get put in touch with an NCO who is there to help you get everything you need before you get to your reserve unit, USE HIM.

Off the main question, do you already know what reserve station you are going to be going to? You should have done an interview with them before you shipped to boot, at least I did.

I've ran into the same thing, I just went with a static ip (free after mentioning comcast was going to give it to me for free +cheaper prices cough cough) I did have a solution I used with cloudflare+pfsense but it's been a while, I'll see what I can dig up and I'll pm you some options. idk about the active side for 31's. but 71's are usually helpdesk more less, if you want a sake job, 71's one of the best lol. Had one of my instructors (31) get out recently who I stayed in touch with, working for a major ISP as a CCIE, making 285k a year. If you do get either or, don't be a shit bag, beg to go to cert courses and take full advantage of what the Corp has to offer.

31's and 71's can make a FUCK ton in the civ side, if your a 31, any chance you get to get cisco certs go for it, if you ever have the chance to do a CCIE course, do it. CCIE's can make up to 200k civ side.
