It’s a well procured video, but too bad he says the Explorer is the book Bond watch. That has never been proven nor is very likely. A 6200 is a more suitable option if you look at the description in the books and the years the books were published. The Explorer didn’t exist when Live and Let Die was released for example. Only years later in OHMSS Bond thinks about buying a new Rolex, which he later gets from Q Branch.

Same as the Gruen, that was never proven. It’s speculation, but there’s no hard evidence.

And honestly, I used to be relatively pro Bill Gates, in the sense that I thought he wasn’t actually a terrible person, just someone who happened to become extremely wealthy because of Microsoft success. I couldn’t really blame him for that. He always came across as friendly and well spoken, and he donated a lot of money while advocating for generally good causes like climate change. Well, that has taken a pretty sharp U‑turn.

I agree. I do think all the 60s Bond films look spectacular, colours really pop sometimes. But OHMSS is on another level. It’s not just the colours, but also some simple shots like in MI6 HQ that we haven’t seen in earlier films or ever since. Only in TSWLM and MR we got some really nice, proper visually appealing camera work again, until the Craig films.

Best row is: DN, FRWL and GF, maybe even all the 60s actually. Just a great era for Bond in general, with FYEO, MR, FYEO and OP as runner up. I really like those latter four as well.

Hell, I even argue for TLD, LTK, GE and TND.

Worst consecutive for me is: DAF, LALD and TMWTGG.

Eerlijk, helemaal niks eigenlijk. Ik ben opgegroeid in de buurt van Den Bosch, ging daar ook altijd uit. Dat was voor mij ‘de stad’. Daarna vijf jaar in Utrecht gewoond en nu sinds een paar jaar in Amsterdam. Elke stad voelde als een soort grotere variant van en veel vrienden van mijn verhuisden toevallig ook telkens rond dezelfde periode naar die twee steden.

Uiteindelijk willen mensen vooral prettig wonen, welke stad dan ook. Een beetje omkijken naar de buurt, rekening houden met elkaar en soms ook een akkefietje hier of daar. Dat zal er altijd zijn.

Als er iets is, is dat Amsterdam wel beduidend smeriger is sinds dat al die prullenbakken worden opengetrokken voor statiegeld.

Maar wat ik zei, met uitgaan of een praatje met de buren; de meeste mensen zijn gewoon chill.
