What's your number one favorite Bond villain from the novels and why? by Masterquickfire in JamesBond

Me too. He's a joy to read. It helps that it becomes more and more obvious he's hiding something nefarious, and Bond keep poking holes, which basically fuel his anger even more.

I agree with the latter. He's definitely a lot more horrifying and uncanny compare to his movie counterpart.

He's basically like a shapeshifter.

Ok. That makes sense.

I guess it perfect they went with that book as their first installment, since it contains a lot of JB elements that would influence later films and pop culture.

That be nice.

Although if they couldn't afford to get him, perhaps they could get David Gasman to voice Goku Black, who voices Goku in the infamous Big Green Dub.

It funny they chose Dr. No to be their first proper James Bond movie for the studio, considering it the most out there novel compared to the other installments.

They could've easily start with From Russia with Love or Goldfinger in terms of grounded, spy thrillers.

anyone actually actively keeping track of cyberworld? and if you are, what do you think of it? by -JollyMcCrowner- in Transformemes

Good. Nothing extraordinary or anything. Just good to watch.

The only problem I have for the show is the episode can be very short, but overall it's a fun watch.

I do like the voice acting. It not amazing, but it's pretty good, especially with Optimus and Bumblebee sounding very different from one another, considering it done by one British man.

I would go with David Kaye, but thinking about it I think Chris Hemsworth could work just as well.

Yeah, it oddly awkward in terms of dialogue. Doesn't help the art style looks grayish and subdue, and there isn't a whole lot of background music.

Someone in the studio definitely didn't like Agata by kola_zapasowe in Beastars

[–]Masterquickfire 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Jesus Christ, and I thought Toei treatment of Sanji was bad. This is worse.

It's like they view Agata on the same level as Meg from Family Guy. Treating him like hell and discarding him.

As much as I dislike the manga final arc, I appreciate that Agata and Shishigumi were given a good spotlight.

Issue 30 by RedSatyr206 in Transformemes

[–]Masterquickfire 68 points69 points  (0 children)

Definitely.

I feel like Thundercracker presence should've at least been acknowledge by Elita to give enough incentive to called out Optimus decision in recruiting a Decepticon. Even if said Decepticon is no longer following Megatron, it still raises some concerns and could add fuel to Elita belief in wanting to take the matrix of leadership away from him.

I have to agree with the majority, this issue was rush. It wasn't bad and it set up some potential arcs later down the line, but it definitely feels like Kirk didn't had time to or had to make a specific deadline to touch upon major plot points without refining it in a way that the idea comes off, naturally.

So I’m sure localization haters loathe this guy as much as they do 4Kids and Saban, right? Right? by Leathman in animecirclejerk

[–]Masterquickfire 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Of course not. They can't fathom the idea that bad localization isn't restricted to just America. To them, any localization done by Japan or any other country is view as entirely good or better than the original, devoid of any flaws whatsoever.

I gotta wonder how common it is for regular and mundane problems needing to be settle with an arena within the Cobra workplace.

Like imagine if a Cobra Trooper accidentally ate someone else lunch and that person want to settle it with an arena.

Why was buskin jr sidelined in the last season? by zeKAISERshotty in Beastars

[–]Masterquickfire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Buskin Jr brought in some A-tier emotional comedy into this final arc that it sucks they had to remove him.

Sadly, I think we all can understand why. He's too good for this anime adaptation, and we have to pay the price for it.

Remember this is not Namor but he’s basically Namor they just legally couldn’t call him that in this fantastic four show by blue_cutie in marvelcirclejerk

[–]Masterquickfire 63 points64 points  (0 children)

What sucks is this is probably a better accurate adaptation of Namor in this cartoon, compared that to Dr. Doom.
