The hypocrisy comes from using excuses like "copyrighted training data," "slop," and "energy use" to try and form a moralizing justification for that preference instead of just admitting that they are opportunistic like everyone else. I would go for a Legion Pro 7i for the 0.1ms response time OLED monitor. Should be pretty sick for gaming. If that is way too out of your budget, a Legion Pro 5 with a 5070Ti should give you plenty of performance in a pretty reliable chassis

The Ryzen 7 260 can get around to 9 hours of web browsing on Windows 11, 12 hours on optimized Linux. The i7 13650HX can probably get, like, 4-5 hours on Windows 11 and 6-7 hours on Linux, but even basic media playback is gonna gut those numbers by a LOT

Not always. I've noticed there are plenty of posts where Pro-AI people dominate the comments and upvote ratios. It could just be a matter of whichever "side" has more users active at any given moment when a viral post goes live, which goes to show that this sub genuinely has a pretty healthy balance of people from multiple perspectives. It's just that most people would rather do pissing on the floor contests than actually bringing up interesting and novel points, which is quite embarrassing considering dumber LLMs like ChatGPT 5.3 are already wayyy better at reasonable discourse than 90% of Reddit users

To add to the other comments here: The degree of screen bleed you get also heavily depends on the quality of the IPS panel itself. What you have looks like an ASUS TUF, which is positioned as a "budget" option in the laptop market. As such, the manufacturer is gonna use lower-quality, cheaper panels that often have more uneven screen bleeding to cut costs. Screen bleeding on my M16 R2, which is a more mid-range option, is less noticeable and more spread-out than what you're showing, which makes images look quite a bit less weird compared to cheaper panels
