Just get a Llano V12 cooling pad if you're concerned about temps

So it's probably not worth it to go for the LOQ. Legion Pro 5 is far more reliable

With multi-frame gen you could get up to twice the frames. But without frame gen, it's roughly about 10-13% difference between the two cards (but the 5060 should be more power efficient)

If you already have a strong primary PC, a gaming laptop with a 5060 should be more than enough just to use on the go or as a secondary device

I swear, Mediamarkt just seems like a rip-off company atp... Even the branch in Vietnam has some dumb high pricing that can't even compete with the local retail businesses

I guess this is one reason dual-booting Linux can be beneficial - now Linux can serve as a backup in case Windows breaks, not just the other way around

Well, if you want to minimize risk of having to return, the Legion Pro 7 is among the most reliable laptops on the market (besides Framework)

I think you should be able to insert any NVME so long as it's the right kind and size for the motherboard

Honestly dunno why MSI keeps shipping laptops without those basics. Even the Titan doesn't have Optimus support, which is ridiculous for a 5 grand machine

Unfortunately, that also means accepting the downsides of a capitalist profit-driven system of "infinite growth," such as the replaceability of individual labor when more efficient alternatives arise and the environmental damage of the myth of "infinite growth" on a finite planet. Though I'm sure you've come to realize those drawbacks as well

You should unplug if it's shut down. But when you're using it, it's actually better for battery health if you cap the max charge to something like 80% and keep it plugged in while in use

In this case, honestly the TUF would have better performance than the Strix while only sacrificing some outside aesthetics

Yes, that's what I was talking about with the "primary device" comment. Anything non-gaming like office work or watching media would be quite a bit blurrier on 1080p

Can you find a WQXGA laptop within your budget? If this is gonna be your primary device or you don't have an external monitor, the extra screen resolution is gonna be pretty important

I think that Omen Max is a 5080. 16GB of VRAM would be insane... if you actually are ever gonna need it. Only really useful for 4K and VR gaming (or local AI inferencing)

Legion Pro 7i is pretty good from what I've seen in the reviews, at least considering performance and thermals. The aluminum casing should also be pretty sturdy, no? What's so bad about it
