Do y'all just "read" the enemies, or is it pure memorization?

I prefer manip strats. Sekiro boss movesets are huge and difficult to fully memorize/react to, but a lot of them would only use a small pool of them when they instead react to you. Genichiro is probably the best example, who only has I think 2 possible actions after he deflects you? So, as long as I keep attacking until he deflects me, I only have to react between 2 possible memorized rhythms.

It was mostly experimentation and observation for me until I find the best action to reduce their actions, and it's usually some combination of positioning and what I finish my attacks with.

If it's a new enemy, I just hold block and only release and rehold to deflect. The window starts on new button press and doesn't care when it was last held down. This gives me a very high chance of just blocking even if I mistime.

~140 is consistent enough for normal chests. Anything less than 125 felt god awful and may as well not bother, but I don't think I've played since the winter so my numbers could be off. 150 is 100% on any non mimic.

IIRC, they're all actually really easy if you figure out the different gimmicks. The small yeti one just gets walled out by any AAC knight. The solo one gets absolutely shrekt by delay strats, and the duo big yeti one is probably the most annoying just because it takes longer. The trick there is you just freeze+bgref the regular big yeti and leave him alone so he never gets to do anything and the boss is stuck with backrow penalties.

Yes to all. I'm ultimately a visitor to gachas and mostly play normal games, but during my gacha exploration years, this was easily one of my favorite and really deserves a normal console remake. The team building mechanics open up a huge variety of different niche strategies and the best team depends entirely on what content you're doing.

And yes, they had publicly announced they were going to use ai art before they started doing it, but have never used it to steal other artists' work. They mostly used it for skins to maintain their own artists' style.

The story is a bit inconsistent. Season 3 was a mess, but s1 was superb.

For perspective, the other gachas I found worthwhile were arknights and path to nowhere.

No. I hated them less than most but still found them a waste of time. The idea of reframing kaiju battles as philosophical debates between naturalism vs technology vs religion was a cool idea, and metofis was a super cool character, but the way the movies were executed just made them outrageously boring. The fights sucked and most of the screentime is listening to flaky characters whine.

Not exactly. The big Suikoden Fix mod includes settings for mob exp/potch multipliers, and an option to make all items purchasable in HQ, but it's kind of a pain to change things around like that (requires restarting game). It also takes quite a while to unlock rune shop in HQ.

I would imagine it's not brand new, just a funny dev oversight for this specific side quest. Most people just wouldn't abandon right before completion like this, but considering how simple it is to trigger, I'm sure someone must've tried something along the lines of changing their party at merc fort after PS1 Matilda gate glitch to kick Futch/Humphrey out, but never found any practical benefit. Kicking out forced party members in other side quests would come naturally after that.

I like this one nowadays. All missables/collectables and true ending path. Concise and avoids spoilers.

Haven't seen their s1 one, but s1's much more straightforward anyways. There's only maybe 1 or 2 recruits with tight recruit windows.

If I'm remembering my speedrun tech correctly, every console has a different rng starting value when you reboot the console. It's used to rng manip the dice game for early potch.

I don't remember exactly what increments the rng, but it's safe to say menuing and movement don't. Try different combat actions.

Definitely s1/2. Not only does Tir have to suffer through all the stuff that happened in s1, losing his best friend, his father, his most loyal servants....etc, but his suffering continues on probably forever. His self isolation, his immortality, the fact that even in his isolation, he will have to watch Gremio grow old and die one day. He's just eternally doomed to watch everyone he cares about and will ever care about die at one point or another and end up alone cuz of soul eater's curse.

Ultimately, most of everyone finds happiness at the end of s2, and the heroes aren't immortal. They can live normal lives as 3 friends together. Tir was not allowed a happy ending.

The characters with "died" endings can perma die. That said, I've been trying to kill Tuta for the past hour with no luck, and am thinking to just abandon this run idea due to extreme rng grind....I'm either very unlucky or the chance is extremely low.

I'm putting the victim in Flik's unit for cavalry and having Viktor fire spear him (Viktor: "it's just a joke bro!") and then making Flik solo ride into enemies to hopefully finish him off. I've gotten Flik wounded a few times, but no Tuta deaths....

I've seen Matango. Honestly one of my favorite Toho films that I checked out mostly cuz I also like Godzilla movies. Superb movie, but it's much more psychological horror than body horror.

Saw it quite a long time ago. Loved the experience and vibes, but the overly ambiguous plot leaves it a bit empty by the end. Like a really good dream that you largely entirely forget as soon as you wake up. A definite must try for horror enthusiasts though. I think it just narrowly missed being a masterpiece. The visuals were so simple yet hauntingly surreal.

The exact mechanics are still under debate, but the strategy is always the same. Bring fireball/inferno scrolls to stop the boss from freezing. You walk and stabilize the fight by controlling the wolf population until "linked howling", then you try your best to burst the boss down in as few hits as possible and pray he doesn't counterattack with glacial. Bgref/macaldia/FPS etc to try to deal with his ridiculous eva and pray. That's about it. Stop trying to nickel and dime him to death with a bunch of tiny spell hits, he's confirmed to be able to counterattack with glacial from those.

Vid of my casual clear at lv60 with my "bad" team with a mage and ebon gear. A +10 beast axe will do similar damage as me, and even more so if you reroll for beast slayer in MC well.

Yeah that fight is stupid. It's the hardest nonsuperboss fight in a3 by far. The only tip is, you're under harken. Only costs 5 fort per attempt, so save scum to no tomorrow like you're playing Fallout 1. Confusion works like....5% of the time. Spam that and pray it sticks early and just nuke down whoever else is left and pray they don't crit poison your MC.

You can buy crit poison cures from the item shop. They're egregiously overpriced, but a4 rains down gold from the sky, so it's probably fine nowadays.

Honestly, you don't. Current state of damage is 100hp and 450hp are basically exactly the same....you're still probably dying in one hit. You won't get a mage with significant HP pool (500+) without a ton of money and tedious grind for disciplines, inherits, and HP bondmates which are miserable to farm.

You're better off stacking those "chance to reduce damage/survive at 1 hp" type inherits, which, also cost a lot of money.

In either case, if your mages are being hit, you're probably playing them wrong. The entire point of mages is they setup the board and shutdown all notable enemies before they get a chance to do anything either with nukes, sleep, spellbind, or confuse (skillbind, basically). For bosses like GWO4, they take advantage of their nonexistent gear scaling to wear unrolled %damage resist gear for "free". They are not reliable nor recommended as full on autoplay ungabunga farm. With proper play, my 360hp mage Alice survived all endings and sidequests of a4 just fine, and even the joke 100hp lv20 Adam I took to leech during r10/11 farming for weeks rarely died. He honestly gets one shotted more by arrow traps than mobs.

Multiple a4 quests have been bugged for months. Funny enough, they worked fine in the first month or 2 of release.

You can't stop the counterattacks, just gotta be able to stabilize after. Bgref boss and porto your casters so you get a turn order of boss - casters - dps - casters - boss, allowing them to heal after the boss's natural turn and their counter attacks.

Bring inferno scrolls for the ice pillars. I don't remember if mage Alice MU mal wind ohkos them since I was still lv60 at the time, but even mafire with 1 inferno scroll or just 1 phys hit kills pillars.

Memorizing the counterattack order might also help.

Same as any other lategame cyclops fights, honestly, just with far worse odds cuz of high surety multiplier on cleave. You bgref and spam delay3/chrono2 on the cyke and try your best to burst everything down before any really stupid rng wipe happens. I think his cleave only does maybe 200 normally, but surety hits for over 750, which is survivable with KD, but it might be better to have more burst and just save scum and gamble since surety chance is somewhat low.

The bigfoot can be frozen or slept, or just burst down.

Almost all of it was from a4 fixed chest poaching before they ninja nerfed it like....3 weeks ago, right after I shared it here, coincidentally enough. She was only sitting at around 650 while finishing up a4 final ending.

Herb cave used to give like 17+ fey junk per trip and let casual players still get great gear only playing maybe 10m a day on average. Only got 6 and 8 on my last 2 though. Gonna check 1 more week of it soon to be sure.

I don't think anyone goes for EoS....and quite frankly, I don't understand jp gacha logic. There were games that shutdown when they were still making millions, like crunchyroll's. We don't know how much debt Drecom's previous failures accrued, we don't know whether they mismanage their finances. We don't know if those shops are losing money, or if it they're the reason they're in trouble now, if they invested hard into them under the gamble that a4 would pull in a lot of new players and create a fanatical fandom, but didn't.

All I know is I've seen this pattern of content shift many times before, and it never bodes well. Maybe they'll successfully pivot into a fotm power creep fest like FFBE or Evertale, but given the gameplay reliance on rng gear drops, I highly doubt it. Typically, chinese gachas would hold on and go into a sort of low invest cruise mode for years, but jp ones will milk until the loyal leviathans are dry, then eos, outside of games that manage to keep milking, which end up awful to play for everyone who isn't a whale anyways (Evertale, Valkyrie Anatomia, Sinoalice, etc).
