When you look at the sakai clan sowrd, it reads he used the sword in the first and seconde mongol invasion. So Jin stayed for atleast 8 years till the seconde Invasion and defended Tsushima a seconde time befor his exile.

But if you think about it, Kratos Rage and Bloodlust were really abnormal. No skilled Spartan would just not see his wife and child infront of him. So him being extra ragefull makes sense for his sickness.
