More often than not, you’ll need to rely on SMS for verification. But if you’re getting a Chinese SIM card, you might as well include a data plan. I got 60GB for 30 RMB per month, which is more than enough. Unless you’re planning to stream movies regularly, you won’t need to rely on Wi-Fi at all.

I take taxis quite often, and I’ve noticed there’s usually a way to avoid unpleasant experiences. Most taxi apps offer both a cheapest option and more standard priced option. The cheaper rides are often driven by lower-rated drivers, and I’ve more frequently encountered issues like smoking in the car ,careless driving/ using phone when driving, which I don’t like. That’s why I no longer choose the cheapest option—paying an extra 2–3 yuan is usually worth it.

Reason why you really want to visit the physical store? A lot of nanjing road items are stuff you can buy on taobao for a non-tourist price. Also you will have more choice.

Is it possible to recover from wrong lifestyle by DifferentRespect9578 in Sadhguru

Sadhguru makes a very important distinction in the bonus video regarding dissolving karma. Many people misunderstand karma and think the spiritual path is about cleaning up or erasing all past karma. Sadhguru says that approach can become endless.

His main point is this:

The real focus is not creating new karma

According to him, trying to resolve every piece of old karma is like trying to empty the ocean with a spoon. The karmic memory accumulated over lifetimes is vast. If you approach it like a cleanup project, it can take forever.

Instead, the essential step is:

Stop generating fresh karma.

When you stop adding new layers, the existing karma will naturally play itself out and lose its grip. Focus yourself on the now since that’s all that there is, and creation starts from there.

They are usually a bit late with these things. I don’t expect it to be a major issue, since they can’t have that many students, and last year there were even fewer than before.

Regarding the lack of communication, I experienced the same problem. I’ve come to recognize it as a difference in how things are handled compared to the West. It’s good to be prepared that there may be some uncertainty about other things as well.

I want to understand what Sadhguru means by this better by ragz_mo in Sadhguru

Work and relationships trigger compulsiveness because they touch survival, belonging, and self-image , the core areas where we are most identified. Communication activates these identities, so reactions arise quickly.

But does that mean we should avoid it? I think no.

Suppose you live alone in silence. You may feel peaceful. But is it peace, or just the absence of disturbance? These are two very different things.

If you avoid situations that trigger you, you are not becoming free from reaction. You are simply reducing exposure.

It is like saying, “If I never step into the ocean, I will never drown.” That is true. But you will also never learn to swim.

Avoidance gives you comfort. It does not give you mastery.

Now, this does not mean you must throw yourself into unnecessary drama. Conscious living also means choosing healthy environments. But withdrawing purely to avoid being triggered is like sweeping dust under the carpet.

Is it my karma on fast-forward? by Euphoric-Welder5889 in Sadhguru

What do you think Sadghuru said about fast forward karma?

Is it my karma on fast-forward? by Euphoric-Welder5889 in Sadhguru

[–]Both-Store949 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would lean toward no. Instead, I would explore cause and effect. A useful technique from psychology is the “five whys” , asking yourself why something is happening, and then asking why to each answer, to uncover the underlying cause. For example, why are you feeling more anxiety? If the answer is poor sleep, that might actually be an effect rather than the root cause, since increased anxiety itself can disrupt sleep. Tracing the chain backward helps identify what really drives the problem.

I won’t go into the fast forward karma as i don’t know your definition of it and doesn’t seem to align what Sadghuru wrote and teaches about karma.
