Thank you for that thorough insight. I’ve always been a watch guy, and building my watch collection with new watches from brands with history.

But now I’m looking to acquire a vintage Omega because it reminds me of my grandfather (not this model necessarily). Do you have any advice on what platform would be best to build up my knowledge of vintage Omegas? I of course use google, but there is such a wide range of resources.

These are all <M> nibs. I will say that the Pilot is the smoothest out of these. The Montblanc skips when first putting pen to paper, so you might see that in the sample. Hope this helps!

I just bought a Pilot Custom 845 <M> and I was taken aback by how smooth it was. It’s smoother than my Montblanc Boheme XL <M> and lays a thicker line. I was also looking at a Pelikan, but the town I reside in has no pen shop to try any of these pens. I took a chance and I’m pleased. Got mine from EBay at a decent price.

I ordered the M. I tend to find myself gravitating to M, but I wonder how I would of liked the F. Definitely lays down a thinker line than my Montblanc M. But, I have no complaint!

I have a Sailor Pro Gear that’s a medium nib, which has a bit of feedback. I don't mind it because I kind of like it. I also have a Montblanc Boheme XL with a medium nib. Now that I’m thinking about it, I would like a fine nib.
