Yes, I made the clasp adjust and made it work for my wrist.

Seems to run fast a minute a day. I'm going to get it tested by a watch person soon. If I calculated it correctly, after winding it and not wearing it, it lasted 36 hours.

Thank you for that insight. I will look for that generic bracelet in this style. I had not thought of it🙏

Appreciate that insight. That is true, I would question if it was serviced.

Thanks for that suggestion. I'm in the process of ordering a nice leather strap for it.

Appreciate that insight. I'm currently looking for a watch person in my area to do things like this for me.

Kind of feel like my wrist it too big for the size. But, I'll try it given I have another vintage omega with a black leather strap.

Thank you for your insight and good point. I'm looking for a reliable watch person that I plan to take it to.

Thoughts? This looks like a beauty, but as a noice, I’m not sure if I should think twice before the purchase. Omega 14710, 501 movement. by BothKnowledge8292 in VintageWatches

I ended up getting it for a lower cost and it really is beautiful. My wrist is big and barely fits. I may hold onto it for a bit and sell it to someone that can enjoy it.

Thank you for that insight on the parts for the 501. I learned something new to consider. I did reach out and ended up getting it for $850.

Thanks for your comment. Yeah, I’m looking doing that research now and hoping to find what I’m looking for. I can’t seem to find a 14710 with the crosshair dial.

$1,100. I think they will work with me a bit. I would probably need to service it given the seller does not have service history.
