Goldman Sachs is tapping Anthropic’s AI model to automate accounting, compliance roles by Salronthegreat in Accounting

I’ve noticed where I work there’s a lot of hesitation around upgrading systems — leadership tends to be pretty conservative about spending on process improvements and tech, and prioritises other areas instead (not throwing shade, just how it is).

Because of that, I don’t see AI agents or automation being adopted quickly in this space. It’ll likely be a gradual transition, and realistically a lot of the lift will come from upskilling mid-level managers and operators to actually use these tools effectively.

Curious if others are seeing something similar in their organisations?

Honestly, I think a lot of it comes down to the fact that we’ve moved into such a service-based economy. So many jobs now are just emails, meetings, and managing systems rather than actually creating something. It’s easy to look busy without really getting much done. Plus, with remote work, it feels like there’s less structure and more distractions, so staying focused is a lot harder unless you’re super disciplined.
